Heading out on a hike? We have 16 boot brush stations at trailheads around the county for you to use. Cleaning off your boots before your hike helps keep invasive weed seeds from hitchhiking down the trail with you. And it’s nice to keep your car cleaner by using them after, too!

This is Poison Hemlock, an invasive plant that is toxic to humans/animals when eaten. Pull it up safely now while it's small and the soil is workable. Spot the purple blotches on smooth, round stems. Wear gloves/long sleeves and wash up when done! More: whatcomcounty.us/weeds

Got Scotch broom? This invasive shrub can be flammable, alter soil chemistry, and be toxic to livestock. Remove it now, while the soil is workable, using a special tool called a Weed Wrench. Borrow it for FREE from the County’s Noxious Weed Program by calling 360-778-6234.
