@GaganonX @dmuthuk It’s not civic sense. It’s corruption that’s the issue. We don’t have adequate sanitation workers. No modern equipments. Still using brooms. All we need is modern machines to keep the city clean. How come the same places becomes neat and clean when the President/PM/CM visits

Our state, Tamil Nadu's percapita is higher than Vietnam. But we don't have look and feel of Vietnam. Urban planning, waste management, cleanliness- long way to go for even developed states like Tamil Nadu.

@dmuthuk We cannot replicate a Vietnam model in India or a Thailand model.

@arvv Property tax should be double for individual homes. Registration charges should be 50% less for apartments.
Incentives should be given to people for choosing apartments.
Plots minimum size across the state should be 60x40 or 60x30. Minimum road width should by 36 feet.

Chennai folks should stop opposing skyscrapers
Skyscrapers are good for the same reason buses, trains or nuclear plants are good. They serve more people but need less space & resources
It’s far easier to build infrastructure like metros or sewage to support vertical clusters than horizontal sprawl. Which is easier: build metro to cover 200 km² or 1000 km² ?
Services like garbage collection are also easier for vertical growth than urban sprawl
When a school kid distribute chocolates to classmates for birthday, which is easier: visiting each of their homes? or giving when they’re all in the classroom?
Our current FSI limits are akin to banning local trains or buses. Imagine how stupid & inefficient that would be!
Already TN's tax money is redistributed up north; the little that remains shouldn't be wasted on maintaining suburban sprawl

Puram@puram_politics
Why do Indians think skyscrapers are desirable?

In Tamil Nadu, workers in manufacturing get lot of benefits. All basic hygiene factors like food, health and transportation are covered.
Tamil Nadu is 6% of India’s population. But 44% of women workers in manufacturing in the entire country comes from this one state.
Both the state government and the concerned company should proactively manage workers needs along with company's ability to spend. This model is working very well in Tamil Nadu.
One thing which should never be done is involving communist parties and unions. It is a road to hell.
Government and management should ensure workers don't feel a need for union. Everyone wants basic financial security and regular needs like food, housing, children education and healthcare are taken care off.

Yogi ji also hinted at a possible conspiracy behind the violent “protest” in Noida.
There was a time when UP had no jobs, no development, no factories, nothing and people were ok with it.
Now that UP has jobs, development, and industries, suddenly some people have a problem.
This is exactly why Congress ecosystem kept India poor and underdeveloped for decades.

These protests are well thought out conspiracy to destroy all that - should be crushed with iron hand.
English

@TimesNow @Shivamsharma_TN @priyanktripathi How can anyone claim these protests are unjustified? When publicly listed companies pay salaries as low as ₹1,10,000, it raises serious concerns. Employers must ensure living wages—anything less inevitably fuels unrest and protest.

Noida Wage Hike Protests
'The kind of protest we are carrying out—when a similar one happened in Haryana, the government there increased salaries from ₹11,000 to ₹15,000. We demand the same be done here...': A protester speaks @Shivamsharma_TN.
@priyanktripathi shares more details about the violence that erupted during yesterday’s protest in a conversation with @MeenakshiUpreti.

@NalinisKitchen U need to use modern machine to maintain. We still use outdated brooms. Corruption is core. No accountability. With the population increase , corporations have not increased sanitation workers .

China Population: 141 crores
India Population: 146 crores
This photo is from China, outside the city area, yet it is clean with good roads. So the population is not the problem, cleanliness comes from systems and civic sense. In India, many people think having money means they can do anything, that mindset is the real issue.

The daughter of a company owner fell in love with a Mu$lim boy...
She was madly in love and defied her parents' wishes.
Feeling helpless, her parents sought the advice of a friend.
The friend's family and their family subsequently went on a picnic together.
During the picnic, the friend made it clear that she was on the girl's side.
She stated that all religions are equal and that the parents should allow the marriage to take place.
Consequently, the girl began to view this friend as her pillar of support.
Meanwhile, the boy's calls continued to come in intermittently.
The friend took the girl aside, handed her a book translated into Marathi, and said, "You are about to marry a Mu$lim boy, so you ought to be familiar with his culture."
The name of the book: *Not Without My Daughter* (Marathi Translation)
The girl began reading the book at 11:30 PM, and within just a few minutes, she was knocking on her friend's bedroom door.
Her eyes were filled with tears. She said, "This is terrifying; I will not marry him."
The friend, however, did not alter her stance. She reasoned with her, "Even if the religion is such, is your love true?
If so, let's do this: ask him to embrace the Hindu faith, and we will arrange your marriage. I will convince your father."
The girl liked this idea and immediately called the boy to convey all of this to him.
To this, the boy retorted, "What makes you think I would change my religion for the sake of a 'two-percent prostitute' like you?"
His words seared into the girl's ears as if molten lead had been poured into them.
She realized—with crushing clarity—her true worth in the eyes of the very boy she loved more than life itself, and for whom she had defied her own parents.
She then flatly refused to go ahead with the marriage.
