SpaceX has just officially unveiled its AI1 satellite, the first generation of its AI satellite. Overall Specs: • 150 kW peak compute payload • 120 kW average compute payload • 70 kW per ton • Compute provider interchangeable Dimensions: • Wingspan: 70 meters • Deployed height: 20 meters Thermal System: • 110 m² deployable liquid radiator • Redundant pumping loops • Integrated micrometeoroid shielding • Deployable liquid radiators Solar Power System: • 150 kW solar array • 250 W/m² • SpaceX-manufactured solar technology from Bastrop, Texas Architecture: • Centralized compute module • Large deployable solar arrays • Deployable liquid-radiator thermal management system • AI-focused compute satellite design ("AI1 satellite") Elon: "The AI satellite is much simpler than a Starlink satellite. The AI satellite is essentially a lot of solar cells, you still need some laser links, but you don't have all of the super complex antennas that you have on a Starlink satellite. The easier one to design for is the AI satellite. It's bigger. A lot of this is technology we've already made with the Starlink V3 satellites."

Here’s a rough size comparison between @SpaceX’s new AI Satellite vs. Starlink V3, V2, and V1.5 satellites. Elon Musk says AI Satellites are much simpler to design and build than Starlink Satellites.

2000 Starship launches a year by 2028 (in 2 years) is not happening. Definitely I think the architecture can get to rapid reuse but I'll eat my hat if they manage even 500 launches Starship in 2028 and that feels like a VERY safe bet

🇺🇦🇬🇧🇫🇷🇩🇪 Ukraine, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany have agreed on five conditions for a sustainable peace Following a meeting in London, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron, and Friedrich Merz endorsed the following principles: ▪️ A complete ceasefire as a prerequisite for launching a peace process; ▪️ The current front line should serve as the starting point for further negotiations; ▪️ Once a ceasefire takes effect, Ukraine must receive reliable and legally binding security guarantees, including the possible deployment of multinational forces; ▪️ Russian assets will remain frozen until Russia ends its war and compensates Ukraine for the damage caused; ▪️ Any decisions involving the EU or NATO must be approved by the member states of those organizations. The leaders stressed that any future settlement must ensure long-term security for Ukraine and Europe.
