@Freethewzrd Once we got confirmation that the series was going to be yearly, I stopped hyper-focusing on why the animation looked so off at times. Worthy trade off if you ask me, I just wish there were more animators in the studio compared to A-list celebrities lol.

@BludbroBro @LookAtMyMeat1 Amber was already a nothingburger character, Rae was even more irrelevant, and TJ's change has yet to be explored. I'm not saying there aren't writing issues in the show, but you need to be patient and learn what delayed gratification is.

I dont get it, if the comic was so bad according to some it needed changes at that point why not just write a different story? Why even adapt it?

@KillerD97237191 @dyingscribe Firstly- I agree with Amber, she’s literally just a “first girlfriend” trope, but I don’t agree with everything else. Especially Rae and Rex’s relationship. Also, the reason why things were shifted around was to tell a more cohesive story in a televised format, which worked imo.

They’re probably not even gonna do Oliver’s betrayal thing A key point of his character in the comics was you weren’t sure when Oliver was going to be evil because he was definitely embracing inhumanity and hiding it from his family but they’re just going for bullshit and dragging Tech Jacket along with it

As for the show, I don’t think I’d call its treatment of women misogynistic per se, but there’s definitely some rehashed 90s superhero tropes being carried over into the modern era in some places

@tavrium_ I agree the track record is a little… eh, but it’s miles better than the comics. Debbie, Rae, Eve (50% of the time), Monster Girl, etc etc., are all vast improvements compared to their comic iteration. Especially Debbie. Debbie is written nigh-perfectly so far.

@harrisonJNIOR He didn’t even choke him to death, he cut off his source of oxygen and blood flow to the brain, essentially inducing a stroke since he couldn’t just asphyxiate him the normal way. Most brutal five minutes of animation I’ve seen in a long time, maybe ever.

Invincible 4ep5 Mark’s strategy to kill conquest by only pressing his Neck was stupidly reckless considering the fact that conquest can stay in space for long without breathing. but it was the only effective way. Tbh
