@Odin_5150 @DrEricDing I want to point out monkeypox breakout in 2022. Same thing happened Biden & CDC brought exposures to same facility. They were not required to stay. They ALL stayed👀 They want it voluntary & they educate the people on risks leaving, like not getting best care if you do get sick

@DrEricDing He is incredibly irresponsible. Honestly, if this spirals out of control like COVID did, he should be held accountable for the deaths, just as with COVID. Enough is enough.

This is dumb—Trump’s CDC now says cruise-ship 🛳️ passengers can leave quarantine/isolation and finish the hantavirus incubation period at home and voluntarily stay home. So, what the hell was the point of flying to Nebraska anyway? RFK Jr’s CDC of course.

@Odin_5150 @DrEricDing Covid infection risk goes up over 20x on 6+ hour flights. Hence why they brought them to USA on charter jet. It’s based on #science. When WHO and all experts say this virus isn’t pandemic material. And chances to get it in US is VERY low. It’s illegal to lock them up.

@Odin_5150 @DrEricDing Why should be be accountable for deaths with COVID. Have you forgotten. Read this timeline. And the reason is to avoid multiple layovers and 6+ hour flights which increase COVID exposure by 20+x on planes. It’s based on science.

@therealjimwyatt This strain isn’t 70 yr. Big outbreak in 18 in a rural community & stomped it out after deaths from a b-day party. Most that die from this virus is a strain that isn’t human to human. It’s rare. If they lose containment, it won’t be good.

@RogerSeheult Thank god this wasn’t in America. They’d be blaming Trump and saying he needs to be impeached because of this. Also blaming the CDC at the same time. The blame Trump gets on everything is wild. TDS Remember 2020? I do

@6dawgbetapsi @outbreakupdates It’s always been that way. China locked people in their apartment and dropped off rice and beans during breakouts over 6 years ago. Some country mask year round. Some never do. It’s related to active and past virus affecting communities, and government requirements.

The weirdest part of this entire Andes hantavirus situation is how inconsistent the response has become internationally.

@happyathome44 @RBMD1982 It’s laughable that so called experts talk out of both sides of mouth: We need to take this serious/ it won’t be a pandemic It looks like easily pandemic if every one had gotten off the boat before we knew what it was, and if we didn’t have a manifest of everyone on board

@RBMD1982 Some 30-34 passengers from the cruise ship took commercial flights around the world and had contact with hundreds of people. How do you know this will not be a pandemic?

No, there was no confirmed spread on the KLM flight. The symptomatic passenger was briefly onboard before being removed pre-departure. The flight attendant who had close contact tested negative for hantavirus, per WHO and Dutch authorities yesterday. This Andes strain can rarely transmit via very close contact, but nothing materialized here.

This is outrageous.. Not a single person on my flight is masked up while we’re in the middle of a double pandemic (Covid + Hantavirus). I politely informed the flight attendant that this is a super spreader event. She just shrugged and walked away. I've already filed a formal complaint with the FAA and CDC. This is reckless and cannot stand. Masks save lives, the science is settled on that.

At this stage it's the job of specialist virologists and public health experts to work very hard on dealing with this Hantavirus outbreak You don't need to do anything or to worry about it at this point, and hopefully never

CDC is tightening official guidance for American cruise passengers. It will now be MANDATORY for cruise passengers to cough into their elbows for ANY cough when at work or at school.* No exceptions. *clearing throat ok

@kushibo @DrEricDing @j_g_allen Trump hasn’t done anything wrong this virus. He was said exactly what WHO has been saying: - Virus we know a lot about - it is not covid, much lower R0 - Americans have very low chance of getting it today and shouldn’t panic - lots of contact tracing is in place and monitoring.

Wow, if true— it means Trump’s CDC is wrong/lying about “prolonged close contact” needed for hantavirus transmission. The cruise ship 🛳️ doctor tells @j_g_allen that 3 positive ship cases did not have any close contact — only shared spaces—this implies AIRBORNE TRANSMISSION.

@sera7_sera @DrEricDing @j_g_allen They all ate the same buffet every day. We all know this. I’m ashamed of Ding to now call it airborne, when it easily could be a contaminated buffet utensils and touching mouth and eyes. He knows better and should delete.

@kushibo @DrEricDing @j_g_allen And Ding knows better than to call it airborne. Easily could have been a contaminated surface like Buffett food and they touched their mouth. Not enough data to call it airborne like Ding did. Hence why the experts aren’t at this time

@kushibo @DrEricDing @j_g_allen CDC IS working with WHO. But WHO is the direct workers on board. Back to my point: why isn’t Ding calling out WHO? They are sharing this message with all countries and have the data. WHO also told Trump that Covid wasn’t airborne until July 2020. Trump was given bad facts.

@kushibo @DrEricDing @j_g_allen We know that. But CDC should be getting their messaging from WHO who is on the ship and doing the testing. And the CDC is repeating exactly what WHO is saying. It’s wild Dings obsession with attacking Trump and the CDC. All that verbiage is from WHO.
