@FluffySpence So far has held up well! More than half a dozen cons and many local meets I've only modified the end points of the tubing and adjusted the angle in the top nozzle so it doesn't pinch but other than that it's still going!

@Melvis_Barksy Having been on the receiving end of this is why I go out of my way to try to include friends in a conversation. If I see them silent I'll say something designed to pull them in.

I swear, SO many furries do this, and the more I watch it happen to me or one of my friends, the more it pisses me off. Is it really that hard to just be like "By the way, this is my buddy here" to help them feel included?

@AeroSpaceShark Six flags isn't normally open in Feb... also it closed permanently last month. Regan is closer to 20-30 minutes from the Gaylord if you have your own car due to bridge traffic. Closer to 80 minutes by public transit. The Gaylord & national harbor is amazing, but it's isolated

@KossKelir IMHO what makes it scummy is that kids are not being coached on how to properly weigh the decision. So many kids are being conditioned to believe that college is guaranteed income. That's certainly not true for a lot of fields.

@KossKelir Nothing in guaranteed, you could just as easily miss out on a high paying career for choosing not to go to college. IMHO a better approach is weigh your options. How many jobs are in the field, what's the pay like? Only pay for school if the field is high pay and high demand

I see advertising for college enrollment on the subway They are starting to remind me of payday loans, you get screwed over at the end of it all Having an education is good but the financial ruin for anything less than guaranteed employment is a scam.

@CaribouEno @Melvis_Barksy Almost all chat programs are designed to show chats in order of most recent post. Unlike other chat programs telegram does at least have an "unread" tab I think it's more an effect of people preferring to build many shallow relationships that easily atrophy

@Melvis_Barksy @XavierNerdFox That is a Telegram problem. As soon as you do not constantly chat to "network" your chat will be buried below the list that is scrolled normally. It is a bad system. And yes, young furries tend to post 24h/24 7d/7 in fear of being missed out. Sadly.
