Here’s a Ryan Nembhard funfact - his assist to turnover ratio of 3.72 to 1 was the best of any qualifying rookie in the NBA in the last 36 seasons (previously was Brevin Knight 3.38:1). You have to go back to 1989-90 to find a better one by a rookie (Pooh Richardson 3.93:1).
We noted this on the final game broadcast even before his 23 assists which broke Jason Kidd’s Mavs rookie record, was the second most for any player in Mavs history (Kidd - 25) and was just shy of a top 3 rookie assist game in NBA history, Ernie DiGregorio (25), Nate McMillan (25), and Ramon Sessions (24).
