@_Cyuu_ @monarchist_tory Yeah I mean it would be similar to PEI in that tourism would be the main industry, but they would still rely on equalization payments to function. But if weโre going for aura, Iโd want Cape Breton to be a province!

@chudmental @monarchist_tory BC ferries wouldn't disappear, it's still the vasy majority of their revenue and as much as I think this is an aura idea it still is mostly ironic in the end and I don't have any genuine beliefs on this as an idea, I I say that tourism is a huge industry on the island

@_Cyuu_ @monarchist_tory Vancouver Island is dependent on BC ferries for daily travel, and many communities like Kildonan are entirely shut off from the rest of the world without them. Also such a large ferry system is something Vancouver Island could never afford from an economy entirely based on lumber

@Tiggrr1958 @Concern70732755 It was the Northwest Territories after Canada received Ruperts land and the North-Western Territory. Overtime the Northwest Territories got carved up to what it is now. So really Alberta is just a breakaway province from the NWT.

Alberta did not even exist as a province at that time.
It was part of Ruperts land owned by the Hudsons Bay company.

@Selwyn1750 @monarchist_tory Quallicum beach is where I mostly lived and went to school growing up so it's definitely a very special place to my heart and parksville was always really cool I stayed there a couple years ago for a bit and it was quite nicer than I remembered even

@_Cyuu_ @monarchist_tory Last time I was there it didnโt seem too bad in the town centre. Though compared to surrounding places like Qualicum beach it seemed a bit rough.
Canโt speak for Parksville though, Iโve heard Iโll of it.
