@SimonDingleyTV That’s what I don’t like about today’s game…in my day, that was a good hit and you didn’t fight after your guy got hit because he had his head down. The Gouda’s hit on Matthews was dirty, that’s when you went after someone.

Fans have stood by the Maple Leafs for a lot of frustrating and disappointing years since 1967. Keeping Treliving and Berube beyond this season would amount to the ultimate test of their loyalty and could cost the organization its best player. Not sure that's a reasonable gamble.

@SimonDingleyTV @MikeInBuffalo I wanted Berube to put him with Matthews and Nylander, and Laughton would be the checker on the line. He would always be the first one back once they lost the puck. Like Ron Ellis was with Ullman and Henderson. That way the other two could go for it all the time.

Jim Robson was too busy caring for the game to have any regard for fame. Accuracy mattered more than a colourful style. His greatness was best measured by how obvious it was, to British Columbians, and to friends, colleagues and hockey fans everywhere.
