You cannot honestly absolve the organizations that literally sit on their hands and watch countries murder their people of being responsive and acting like they’re powerless. I get it, people despise Trump for upsetting the apple cart and world norms, but the world did and does nothing to help people living under oppressive regimes. These very countries are exploited by communist regimes and religious fanaticism. It’s very easy to sit in relative comfort and criticize, a lot different if you’re sitting in countries that actually experience oppression.
