Standard practice for a rebuilding team. These aren’t opinions I am spewing, they are facts. That’s what he is doing.

Might as well leave Nuñez in there. They suck. Yeah, sure the roster is indicative of a tank. But that not specific decision.

@GageCoffman3 What's with the gotcha attempt? He wasn't good lol. But why use him as a late-inning, high-leverage guy? And for multiple innings? If he sucked, which he did, you had little to no chance to recover. Beeter hasn't thrown since Tue. Lord since Mon. Would've preferred them. 🤷‍♂️

The Nationals did not set Riley Cornelio up for success there. The circumstances that come with any debut + those of a 1-run game in the 7th. And for a non-reliever. Not cool. He should've just started. If he made a mess, you just clean it up with the bullpen lead by Mikolas.

Three yrs ago I had Jake Bennett as the 3rd best pitcher in the #Nats system. Today he'd be my best pitcher in the #Nats system if he wasn't traded. Paul Toboni traded him for Luis Perales. I hope Toboni got it right. The love for velo favors Perales, but "stuff" favors Bennett.

Ronny Cruz has had an unbelievable start to his 2026 season. He's the only qualified player in the minors with 10+ SB, an OPS over 1.000, & a SLG% over .600. Among the 6 players with 10+ SB & a wRC+ over 170, he's the only one under 20 years old.
