Because of that UCF is NOT "recognized" as a national champion in the NCAA record book, only ranked #1 in the Colley poll. Sorry! Go look it up!

It is the major selectors as noted in the NCAA record book I linked. UCF was not recognized by any major selectors for that year. Glad we agree.

Those major selectors award the national championship. 17 Bama was the CFP and consensus champ. 17 UCF was a non-consensus champ.

@ThatsJoeDirt @DeshaunDMurray1 Seven 1,000 yard seasons (6 different RBs) if Sheppard gets 38 yards in the bowl game. During the same time span, Florida has only had 2 1,000 yard rushers (Taylor 2015 & Baugh 2025). 20+ years coaching RBs. We're going to be fine.
