It’s called prayer.
Christian prayer.
To the Lord Jesus.

After the Germany-Curaçao match, players from both teams shared a moment together. 🙏❤️

« Pendant le match, nous sommes des adversaires, mais après le match, nous sommes tous chrétiens, nous sommes tous FRÈRES.
Nous avons prononcé une petite prière, parce que nous croyons que Jésus est glorifié à travers le match. » ✝️

AFTER THE GAME, AGBADOU WALKED TO THE CENTRE CIRCLE AND PRAYED… THEN HE REVEALED THIS BASELAYER. 🇨🇮🙏
For The King's Return, this is what it's all about.
Not just what happens during the 90 minutes, but what happens after them.
As our very own Agbadou knelt in the centre circle in prayer, he revealed a message written across his baselayer:
"Support me according to Your promise, so that I may live, and do not let me be ashamed of my hope. Amen."
A footballer publicly declaring that his hope is not in himself, but in the promises of God.
This movement isn't about building platforms or crowns for ourselves.
It's about laying them down and pointing people to the King who is returning.
"Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live; and do not let me be ashamed of my hope."
Psalm 119:116 (NKJV)

Felix Nmecha found the net for Germany… but his celebration said even more than the goal.
After scoring, he symbolically laid down his crown, a reminder that every gift, every victory and every moment of glory ultimately belongs to Jesus.

@brfootball He’s actually taking his crown off and putting it down! #thekingsreturn

Ben Doak in the centre circle.
Not celebrating himself.
Not seeking a spotlight.
Just taking a moment to acknowledge the King above every king.
In a tournament where nations chase crowns, it’s powerful to see players laying them down.
Because every crown belongs to Jesus.

The first crown has been laid down.
Even in defeat, South Africa’s @lyle.foster17 became the first player to publicly take part in The King’s Return, casting his crown at His feet and kneeling in prayer at the centre circle.
