South Africans are engaging in white supremist rhetoric unknowingly. AAVE is a language just as Xhosa and Zulu are language. If you want to argue itโs a dialect, that same argument can be used for both Xhosa and Zulu.

We don't. We're critical of "leftists" who romanticize and idealize religions of the global south and the oppressed as somehow relatively untouched by colonial modernity and therefore are suitable weapons of liberation. That's the attitude we're criticizing.
