In 2007 Nigeria’s anti-corruption chief accused him of stealing $250 million from Delta State. Ibori offered the EFCC chairman $15 million in cash to drop the case. The chairman pretended to accept. Then deposited the cash at the Central Bank. Nigerian courts still acquitted him on all 170 charges. He ran. Escaped to Dubai. A mob of his supporters fought off the police trying to arrest him. Interpol caught him in Dubai. The UK extradited him. In 2012 he pleaded guilty in a London court. The judge called the £50 million he admitted to stealing “ludicrously low.” He was sentenced to 13 years. Served half. Returned to Nigeria in 2017. A sitting senator was in the crowd that welcomed him home. His name is James Ibori. Nigeria never convicted him once. 🇳🇬

I was in primary 2, when my then clss teacher flogged me for eating past break time. Mrs Oni flogged me so bad that i resumed crying at intervals. My aunty came to pick me at school and i cried again. My mum came back from work, i resumed the tears again. Here is the bomb. My father usually came home around past 10pm so most times he just wakes me with a kiss so i did know he was awake. On this day i was the one waiting for my almighty hero to come back because everyone who persuaded me didn’t understand the depth of hurt and pain i was carrying. Upon my Dad’s arrival, shocked to see me awake, asked why i wasn’t sleeping l. Before i could say jack i started wailing profusely, turned my back and legs to show my Dad the mark on my body. I saw the anger rising per temperature on my Dad’s face. The man was almost in tears. He carried me, hugged me, and apologised to me. At that point i let go of the pain. Little did i know that was kesekese, kasakasa was coming. I woke up the next morning and was shocked to see my Dad at home, this man would have gone to work as early as 4:30am. The greatest joy in me was him volunteering to drop me off at school. Upon getting to school, it was assembly time and i walked in, Man was still waiting in the car. Assembly was over and everyone was in class then King kong walked in, straight to my class, picked up the cain and flogged Mrs Oni from the class (first storey building) to the ground floor. HOW WILL YOU BEAT MY ONLY CHILD SO BAD THAT HER SKIN PEELED. Yes guys, my skin peeled. Them beg my papa ooh, man was already making calls to his friend at the ministry of education not even considering the owner of the school was my Dad’s aunty. Mrs Oni was sacked the following day.

If you feed your baby NAN, SMA, or Alfamino, a toxic bacteria has been found in some batches. And you might have it in your house right now. You see, Nestlé has issued a massive global recall for several baby formulas (products in the image above) because they found a toxin called Cereulide (from Bacillus cereus bacteria) in some batches. This toxin causes severe nausea and vomiting in babies. And the scary part is that boiling water does NOT kill it. The toxin is heat-resistant. So even if you prepare the formula correctly, if the powder itself is contaminated, your baby is at risk. Now, NAFDAC has not released a specific alert for Nigeria yet. BUT our markets are porous.
