The bay between Lincolnshire and Essex is 240 square miles in size and averages at only 5 meters deep. We could fill it in like the Dutch did in the 70s and build a Manchester-sized city. The fact the government wouldn't do this only proves to me that it is a good idea.

@RepealTCPA1947 And once they ban the usual vices (alcohol/fast food/tobacco/gambling &c) they'll come for cosmetics (to protect young girls' mental health), pet ownership (to protect wildlife), public football matches (to stop hooliganism), & "excessive" video gaming (promotes incel behaviour)

The public health lobby were able to ban smoking in this country by proceeding slowly enough that the frog didn't notice it was being boiled. I have no doubt they will do the same for alcohol
