Some people seem to have forgotten how bad a president Trump was, so I made a list of the 100 Worst Things About the Trump Presidency, in no particular order. Please share and add anything I missed. 🧵
@justindunne@Starbucks Cash or not should be solely decide from customers as suitable options at time.
Cashless is evil policy to take control & interference our life. Phone line got disconnected for whatever reason then you can’t buy anything just imagine if emergency circumstances ?
We know most @Starbucks now refuse cash (despite a cash tip jar), and many taxi drivers are quick to display their lack of anger management if you try handing over anything more than 100 thb.
And now? Some shops refusing low value Thai currencies.
@Ajarncom I travelled to Istanbul from Bangkok last year – by train. And I didn’t get sick once. The Doğu Ekspresi – from Ankara to Kars – is one of the most spectacular train journeys in the world… /1
We've dropped Tun's phone off for repair and we're back in the apartment, lying down and feeling a little unwell. I'm so tired of sore throats, coughs and fevers virtually every time we travel these days.
At risk of stirring shit, is it time to mask up on those flights?
@bkmagazine ...(NIH), this sort of (Big Sugar and Big Tech-sponsored) gross spectacle of public gluttony seems in rather poor taste.
Are we to expect next a listing of which slum sub soi one ought to go to to get a good gander at junkies overdosing? 2/2
@bkmagazine Against a backdrop of acute food and nutrient insecurity (8 million children under 5 at risk of death from severe wasting according to UNICEF) and the rampant normalization of obesity (overeating and other eating disorder manifestations) impeding real public health solutions 1/2
Raina Huang can eat 20 bowls of chicken and rice in 10 minutes, five kilograms of pad kaprao in 19 minutes, three kilograms of noodles in 14 minutes, and the internet loves her for it.

@titbit@bangkok_pat@BkkRiverBoat I’ve found hiring my own local helmsman best value all round: he does the hard work and I can provide my own commentary – or not, depending who I’m with. /3
@bangkok_pat Si Phraya (N3) was always my go-to for a few hours around the canals of Bangkok Noi and Bangkok Yai. Slip down the left hand-side of the Royal Orchid Sheraton (as you face the river) to get to it. The cost used to be 800-1000 THB, but I have feeling one may now pay 1500 THB.
@justindunne It’s a literal smokescreen from behind which our cultural heritage is being plucked. @titbit will be rolling out the evidence for all to see very soon!
Looks like Bangkok’s crematoriums are working overtime today.
Makes sense, however.
With all of the pedestrians getting run-over they need to be cremated quickly.
Air quality could be improved with drivers having empathy for pedestrians or simply following the law.
🇹🇭 BANGKOK POST: Public Health Minister Cholnan Srikaew has signed a proposal for a game-changing cannabis legislation, with a clear emphasis that it cannot be used for recreational purposes. bangkokpost.com/thailand/gener… || #Thailand
@_darkle@justindunne@ThaiNewsReports I’m with you. I don’t like the smell of the stuff but I also think it’s pure evil to destroy lives because of some misplaced morality.
@justindunne Like most laws in Thailand, it’s for show only. Actually, enforcing laws is not something that Thai cops do well or are even particularly interested in unless it generates revenue.
2 days from now #Thailand will celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the "Pedestrian Crosswalk" safety law. Yet, has any single driver been held accountable? Do we have any evidence of a 4,000 thb fine enforced or a point reduction?

@justindunne@Opdiner@ThaiNewsReports Some people make what can be crucial lifestyle choices and don’t want them impeded, by the psychoactive effects of secondhand exposure, on every beach restaurant, street corner – or boat. /4
@justindunne@Opdiner@ThaiNewsReports In short: I’m up for people to be able to get high without law enforcement breathing down their necks, but that doesn’t mean I want to get high, too. /3
