I'm getting misty eyed listening to this. One of the things I loved about attending races was listening to the beautiful sounds of the RBR Honda ICE. Such a unique sound. The heartbeat of that sound will now reside in the Aston Martin Racing Formula 1 car.

@Qvist_Designs @jancikapral @TheBeevash No, not necessarily. By introducing the rake, you are effectively increasing the floor volume particularly at the diffuser, and if the floor is sealed well enough on the edges you are making your floor volume larger. Think of the RB16B.

I have decided to take a bit of a break from car modelling to shift my attention to a passion project of mines. I fully working DIY sim racing wheel that I can use on my sim rig. Details in the thread.

WS2812B LED's will power the rev strip with 2 flag LED's flanking them. The mid-case is made of 3D printed PETG a long with the button surrounds, and encoder surrounds. I will probably use a GX16 connector on the rear to drive this entire wheel with a single USB cable

The display is a 4.3" VoCore display and the entire system (minus the display) will run off an Arduino Pro Micro via SimHub. I am unsure as to what shifters I should use, but I am leaning to pickup the Fanatec Advanced Paddle Module with a Podium Module.

I have not fully decided yet, but I plan on using either 5mm thick Carbon Fiber or Aluminium as the front and back panels. I am utilising EC11 encoders along with momentary tactile push buttons with a white LED surround.
