@loutakes_ This is very Karen-ish. You sound like the lady trying to explain why she felt the need to call the cops on kids playing in the streets. He missed OTA’s, it’s not that serious.

I think the George Pickens contract situation has exposed a deeper issue within Cowboys Nation. It’s not really about George Pickens.
It’s about our addiction to avoiding difficult conversations whenever those conversations threaten our own interests.
This reminds me of the later seasons of Game of Thrones.
As the White Walkers got closer and closer, Jon Snow desperately tried to warn the kingdoms about the threat. It wasn’t because he wanted to win an argument, but because he understood what was coming and wanted people to act before it became catastrophic.
Instead, people called it a myth.
They called it an exaggeration.
They kept saying there were bigger issues.
And they spent more time attacking the messengers than dealing with the message.
That’s exactly what this offseason has felt like. Guys like @BossCowboySport , @jtuck151 , myself, and others have been pointing to the signs surrounding George Pickens. Not because we’re rooting for disaster, but because the evidence is already there.
The public frustrations was always there.
The missed voluntary workouts.
The contract disagreement.
The front office, in particular Stephen Jones, shutting down negotiations in April is there.
The desire from Pickens’ side to continue discussions is there.
These are REAL things we REFUSE to acknowledge.
But instead, many people keep saying:
“He’s under contract.”
“It’s not a big deal.”
“He’ll play.”
“He should be grateful.”
“Everything is fine.”
What I’ve learned is that many people don’t want to acknowledge a problem until it becomes impossible to ignore. Just like King’s Landing, they want the zombie walking through the front gate.
They want the trade request.
They want the social media meltdown.
They want the holdout/hold-in.
They want the public demands.
Only then will they finally admit there was always a problem. And that’s the disappointing part. Because it should never have to get that far.
What’s even more interesting is that some people have taken the Cersei Lannister approach.
They’ll see the evidence.
They’ll acknowledge the threat.
They’ll know it’s real.
But they’ll still choose not to act because the current arrangement benefits them. In this case, the benefit is getting another year of George Pickens at a cheaper cost. The risk gets ignored because the short-term reward is attractive.
To me, that’s the real lesson from this entire situation.
The White Walkers weren’t dangerous because nobody saw them.
They were dangerous because people refused to act until they were standing at the gates.
George Pickens is simply the latest example.
The next issue will follow the exact same cycle.
Deny it.
Minimize it.
Attack the messenger.
Demand more proof.
Then act shocked when the thing everyone warned about finally arrives.

BREAKING: A U.S. Air Force B-52 bomber crashed shortly after takeoff at Edwards Air Force Base, triggering an emergency response.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene as thick black smoke billowed from the wreckage scattered across the desert airfield.
More details, including the condition of those on board, have not yet been released.

Same state. Different justice.
2023: Alec Adamson (Prosper, TX) shoots & kills a Black student, leads police on car chase + foot pursuit.
Sentence: 4 years. Served: 2.
2025: Karmelo (Frisco, TX) gets jumped by white students, defends himself with a knife.
Sentence: 35 years.
Tell me this isn’t two-tiered justice.

If Brunson hadn’t kept his cool and had run up on Wemby, the refs would’ve snap called a tech on Jalen, reviewed the play & 100% have given Wemby a flagrant.
Instead, Brunson was a pro and Wemby gets to completely skate on it. Doesn’t seem right to me.

No flagrant upgrade on the uncalled foul of Spurs' Victor Wembanyama to Knicks' Jalen Brunson on Monday night, a league spokesperson tells ESPN. Wembanyama will stay at two flagrant points in postseason.

@sauball3 @supjeaux @thescorechicago Like who Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kentucky, Iowa, Ohio, Indiana? Check the numbers they’re all shit holes.
English

@supjeaux @thescorechicago The rest of Illinois is going to die because of those 3 shitty counties. Dont get it confused. States without major libtard centers are doing much better than California, Illinois, amd New York. You listen way to much to mainstream and likely ur libtard friends

@CharlesMBlow @ninaturner Call their ass out like that every time they lie. Don’t sugar coat it and don’t soften your tone. Fuq their feelings!!!

I feel strongly about this: journalists have an ethical responsibility to call these election lies what they are. We just stop hiding behind the euphemistic “without proof.” Or democracy is fragile and under assault. Patrician journalistic niceties serve no one is a moment of crisis, not even journalism. We are called to reveal and convey truth. It starts with every interaction. It starts in the moment. It starts to their faces. It feels good to be free to do what I think is right.

@Valley_BoyEnt @X_fightss She didn’t have to sign the ticket that’s why he tossed it in the car. And nothing she said or did in that video warranted her arrest or to be pulled out of her car. The white cop got his feelings hurt and acted illegally. He should be fired and charged.
English

@X_fightss I understand most of you can’t have sympathy for a black person and yes she was doing the most I’m not excusing her actions but the officer could have just given her a ticket for littering.

This theory is debunked when you realize he didn’t pick number 1 when he was in Tennessee despite it being available

You have a point but I’ll say this.
If he actually didn’t do anything, “I won’t do it again” wouldn’t have to be said. @JonMarksMedia
