FWIW, I am not nowhere near convinced that Brock Purdy is a franchise QB - especially coming off a career threatening injury. Trading Lance before ever seeing what he can be would be franchise malpractice by the #49ers. They are over-prioritizing cost of a QB room.

@MstrClean @muffyinz @AdamSchefter Nah, you must not be a niner fan. Lance is not an NFL QB now and it's clear if you've been watching closely. Maybe he will be later??? That's just theoretical... Purdy plays QB at a high level now and the biggest and best indicator is that his teammates back him.

This morning the #49ers were just fielding calls on Trey Lance, right? In the afternoon we're basically hearing that if Brock can throw a football in June, Trey is as good as gone. But please, keep telling me I'm overblowing the situation.

@BigDog22890 @StatsOnFire Signs have been there since he didn't push Jimmy for the starting role in year one. He doesn't have it, we're lucky this team leadership isn't blindly sticking with an investment that won't likely work out.
