Can we get some examples or are we just going to go full vagueposting on this? AAA Gaming is what was overpraised for the longest time. Both by games media and content creators getting them keys in the mail. Fanboyism and brand worship did a bunch of damage too. You're missing the fact that smaller games don't cost near as much and are actually worth more lenience. It's different when a AAA dev releases an overpriced pile of garbage, it's also different when you see - clear as day - some sources of the problems turning favored studios into garbage getting totally ignored by execs. Like departments packed with people who don't play videogames dictating what content can and can't be in it. It's also different when you also have to put up with hostility from the Industry on top of all that. Every bit of "hatred" (frankly mostly scrutiny, pattern-recognition and fatigue of being fucked) the AAA has, has been fully earned throughout years. Smaller games that suck get hit with it too, though, let's not pretend like garbage is being held up as a standard. When people don't like something, they make it known. Just don't be surprised when people have more leniency and goodwill towards better fresher ideas and smaller, independent or brand new studios that haven't been trying to fuck them over for a decade.

Females are (usually) larger and stronger in reptiles and arachnids. They are (usually) smaller in mammals and birds. So if dragons are reptiles, it's plausible that the females are bigger.
