Kenya continues to strengthen its global partnerships, and today I welcomed H.E. Daniel Francisco Chapo, President of the Republic of Mozambique, on his arrival for a three-day working visit at the invitation of H.E. President @WilliamsRuto, his first visit to Kenya as Head of State. The visit will feature high-level engagements aimed at deepening cooperation across key sectors, expanding trade and investment, and advancing the long-standing Kenya–Mozambique partnership anchored on practical, results-driven outcomes. It will also provide an opportunity for the two Heads of State to review bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and global political, economic and security developments. President Chapo will also participate as Guest of Honour at the 4th Kenya International Investment Conference (KIICO), scheduled for 25th–27th March 2026 at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre, further reinforcing Kenya’s position as a hub for investment and regional engagement.

BREAKING NEWS ... The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (Cran) has declined the application of billionaire Elon Musk’s satellite internet company Starlink to operate in Namibia. Cran spokesperson Mufaro Nesongano confirmed this on Monday following the Government Gazette of 23 March. Congo-Brazzaville🇨🇬 President Denis Sassou N’Guesso's government has imposed a nationwide internet blackout on the day of the presidential elections. "Network data show a nation-scale disruption to internet connectivity in the Republic of #Congo", @netblocks reports. His government has made it a habit to switch off network connectivity during presidential elections. A similar blackout was observed during the March 2021 election. N’Guesso, 82, who is seeking re-election, has been in power for a total of 42 years. He is the third longest ruling African leader, after Cameroon ’s Paul Biya and Equatorial Guinea ’s Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. In 2015, his government conducted a referendum that removed presidential age limits and term limits, allowing him to remain eligible for office.

JUST IN: US State dept is designating the #Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist and intends to designate the group as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, effective March 16, 2026. This places the Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood in the same league as Al-Qaeda, Taliban, Hamas, al-Shabaab and ISIS. And it means American entities are prohibited from providing services or goods to the group and its members. Yet it raises questions on whether the Sudanese junta is now facing the same accusations, having strong ties to the Brotherhood. The junta (SAF) and rivals Rapid Support Forces have already been sanctioned for war crimes and crimes against humanity. The Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood fighters supposedly receive training and other support from #Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), have conducted mass executions of civilians, according to the State Department. The Brotherhood’s al-Baraa Bin Malik Brigade was had been designated in September 2025 for its role in Sudan’s war.
