Two years ago, leaders of @InPTA_GW , @EPTAGW , @NANOGrav , and the PPTA (@CSIRO_ATNF) signed an agreement to coordinate a synchronous publication of results from their individual PTA data sets. This agreement, known as the “3P+ agreement”, will come to fruition on June 29th.

#OTD in 2015, the universe’s gravitational waves, predicted by Albert Einstein a century before, were observed for the first time by @LIGO. The observation led to a new way to study our universe and the 2017 #NobelPrize in Physics for Rainer Weiss, Barry Barish and Kip Thorne.

Quite a crowd of black holes and neutron stars... the universe seems to be pretty efficient in producing these binaries, and now we can routinely detect them! Huge amount of work from so many people at @UoBIGWaves as part of @LIGO @ego_virgo @KAGRA_PR #GWTC3 activities
