Open up social media, and the country is awash with "panic" of some country demanding $2 Billion, which has been lent to Pakistan at 6% (or 6.5%).
Let's break that down:
Countries are able to raise loans at an interest rate of 1-4%. Developing countries like Pakistan have to pay a premium, and need to pay up to a maximum of 6-8%.
Imagine Pakistan returns $2 Billion at 6%; the worst that can happen is that it'd have to raise a loan at 8%.
That's 2% on $2 Billion, or $40 Million = approx. Rs. 11 Billion.
Punjab Government's development budget this year is over Rs. 1.4 Trillion!
That's less than 1% of Punjab's development budget. Or equal to one less highway or a couple of shinny new underpasses ...
If we run the country, and the economy, well, we don't need to run around with a begging bowl all the time.

For the longest time, Computer Science jobs were reduced to learning the syntax of a programming language to work as a software developer. The sellable skill, therefore, was essentially knowledge of syntax, and tedium of writing and debugging code ...
AI had made this skill (almost) redundant.
Now you need systems designers and solution architects who understand advanced computer science concepts and know how to apply underlying theoretical principles. AI will generate the code for you.
However, in many universities (perhaps most in a country like Pakistan), these skills are not taught well.
There's no "upskilling" of coding skills that'd change this -- universities need to produce great computer scientists, not good programmers.

I don’t use social media to pontificate but this needs to be said.
If no off-ramp is found within the next week, history will write of this Middle East conflict as WWIII. Very soon, it will resemble a global conflict in terms of the number of countries involved, the intensity of violence, and the spread of its absolutely catastrophic consequences. Those who can must prevent this from happening.
