I’m not where I want to be, I’m a whole lot better than where I was. In September I had one goal, lose weight to compete in tournaments. Over time that goal transitioned into “lose 100lbs”. My highest recorded weight was 362 and today I weighed in at 262. In February I had a tournament scheduled but a week before it I broke my collarbone. I won’t lie, that hurt, I was defeated and felt like it was all for nothing. But one of my absolute favorite quotes comes from an anime of all things called “Dangers in my Heart” and it goes “Not forgetting that disappointment is the most important part of moving on.” So I pressed on, I healed, I became better than I was. Like I said, I’m not where I want to be, but I’m a whole lot better than where I was.

In October of last year I stepped on the scale and it read 240! Couldn’t keep making excuses for myself so I just started running. Got a gym membership at the beginning of the year and NOW I just got under 200! Still a work in progress. 💪
