@ArableSam As cover crops go, and if you didn’t have OSR in the rotation, it’s a star. Cheap and cheerful.

@DRDFellows @Pxfarms We have a field where we sow parallel to the poles and only go under at the ends as they hang too low to get under in the middle of the field. Takes them out the equation when spraying as well

I’ve seen @Pxfarms talking about this a lot, this is unacceptable in this day and age. A industry with an awful health and safety record subjected to risks like this. All it would take is a new operator in the dark and we could have a fatality. If you need backing, I’m here James

@bleating_lamb @ramrigblondes 25% wheat would cost £25/t to dry according to drying charges from our co-op. Or you could let the sun and wind dry it for free

@ramrigblondes @aliyoung87 If you’ve got a big RHI generation payment from burning biomass to dry biomass the rest of the year (rat & cat farming) then drying wet grain does look logical, otherwise at least £0.30/kWh as you rightly say, it doesn’t

There are some folk in the farming industry need to give themselves a shake , cutting winter wheat between 25 to 30% moisture especially with the upcoming forecast, are you that desperate to be the 1st to start & finish, or have you grown too large to cope
