Would love to see @Walmart take a leadership role in preventative health by tying their health clinics to healthier grocery and lifestyle recommendations. Could Walmart grocery of the future match live health advisors with consumers to inform choices? buff.ly/2wFfxPI

Workflow improvement is a primary application for AI in healthcare. Hospitals are investing in operational & financial use cases, but clinical use cases grab most of the headlines. The article below describes a similar scenario playing out in radiology: buff.ly/3aXMtTi

Breaking down healthcare data silos is a must to enable personalized medicine. Companies like @Nference solving that challenge. Playbook looks to be start with Pharma which is willing to invest today, then expand. IP should extend to payers and providers. buff.ly/2sXOspz

How valuable is training data for AI? US moves to place export restrictions on software used to annotate training data sets from geospatial images for neural nets. Note that algorithms themselves aren’t restricted. Value is in the data! buff.ly/2uuUdM1

Wide cross-section of companies funded in 2019, majority are seed/A. Will be interesting to watch in 2020 with greater VC focus on profit. Top earners are B2B: security, sales/mktg, and operations - unlock enterprise bigdata = $$$ lnkd.in/gMMn2dd

First report I’ve seen where a clinical trial approach was taken to study patient engagement with portals. Study hints at an important factor - making the portal usable on the patients device. It doesn’t address content customization which is also key. lnkd.in/gPV3PjX

Good article about an important human issue in healthcare - staff burnout. No simple answer to this problem. As healthcare gets more distributed, new opportunities are emerging for nurses that prefer to be mobile or virtual. NurseGrid #healthcare lnkd.in/gY2GdsW
