When your insurance @Optum denies your prior authorization prescriptions appeal due to the doctor not writing something in technical enough terms. They approved it last year and I need it for my narcolepsy w/cataplexy. I’ve been on these meds for years and they work.

@Optum I am deeply angered by the process of transferring medical records from your network , now we know why our doctor left you and you are making their patients suffer. We can’t even speak with a human … everything automated and cannot get anything done … Do Better !!!!!

@UPS My 16 yr old needs a life saving rx. It left Kentucky but we have zero tracking visibility & no delivery info before the holiday weekend. Without it she risks hospitalization and possible surgery. I will fly anywhere to get it myself. Please help us. @cnnbrk @AP

I've provided the receipts. I always do. It's the principle of it all. Why can Optum not have access to even a merchant name on the charge? Teledoc. That's who charged this time. You do a 100% audit, freeze accounts when documents aren't provided and then, in one case where it was determined a reimbursement wasn't authorized, you penalize 100% of money paid. I don't want a specific review. I want your management to figure out a better system. Thank you for the offer -- it's the principle with which I take issue.

I cannot fathom why @Optum needs additional documentation for a claim that was charged by TELEDOC. $15 claim. TELEDOC as provider. You're part of this dysfunctional medical payment ecosystem and require additional documentation on such a simple claim?? Don't get me started how you sought documentation from 18 months of CANCER treatment and care. What do you think I'm paying for when the provider name says ONCOLOGY AND HEMATOLOGY? Do better. Do so much better. This is patient-funded money and you hold it hostage seeking information you should already have.

@Optum Huge shout out to the urgent care team on Bedford Road in Mt. Kisco NY. The staff is super courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, and accommodating. I showed up about 30 mins before closing on a Friday and I needed an X-ray. They were kind, considerate, and attentive! Bravo!

@Optum your migration to mobile app only is horrible. Removing a full desktop app for elderly people is unconscionable. Every time I use it I think, how can people with SO MUCH MONEY do such a poor job with software. Now, can't order prescription refills.
