2025 Colorado High School Top 32 Receivers performances of 2025 NOTE: THIS IS NOT A RECRUITABILITY INDEX. Same as the QBs and RBs, just an assessment of 2025. Some of our top WR prospects didn't make the list for a variety of reasons. Most of them no fault of their own. Now to be fair this is less qualitative than QBs and RBs because there are just a LOT of receivers. So instead of our regular watch every single bit of film, we made a composite score that goes a little beyond just "who had the most yards." We did catch some crazy things in the process though. Here are the wildest ones: TD Efficiency Caleb Pierce (Buena Vista) had a TD every 2.0 catches but didn't make the list because no Twitter. 17 TDs on 34 catches. Literally a coin flip every time he touched the ball. Vince Basham (#28) scores every 2.9 catches. 9 TDs on 26 receptions. Sabi Ruttgers (#18) scores every 3.3 catches. 11 TDs on 36 catches playing opposite Toray Davis. Defenses picked their poison and Ruttgers made them pay. Brooklyn Bailey (#2) scores every 2.9 catches. 20 TDs. As a junior. Yards Per Catch Basham averages 27.6 yards EVERY time he catches the ball. That's a first down and then some on every single reception. Quentin Torres (#16) at 25.0 YPC on 34 catches. Also rushed for 1,102 yards. Nearly 2,000 scrimmage yards and 30 total TDs from a 5'8" 165 lb kid at Forge Christian. Bailey at 23.0 YPC with 57 catches. Usually guys with that kind of average have low volume. He has both. Volume Monsters Toray Davis led the state in receptions (70), yards (1,557), AND yards per game (129.8). All three. That almost never happens because volume guys usually have lower averages. Swanson (#5) had 69 catches in only 10 games. That's 6.9 per game, the highest rate on the list. Give him 12+ games and he's challenging Davis. Griffin Campain (#24) and Joey Jewett (#32) both had 55+ catches but under 715 yards. Pure chain-movers. Two-Receiver Combos Smith + Wolf at Coronado: 2,196 yards, 30 TDs combined. Insane for 3A. Meurer + Balistreri at Arvada West: 132 catches, 2,046 yards, 23 TDs combined. Studebaker + Jewett at Legacy: 102 catches combined. Two possession guys eating. The "How Is He That Small" Award Nathan Rodriguez (#8): 5'10" 145 lbs. State champion. First team all-state. 1,170 yards. 4.49 forty. Benches 255 (almost double his body weight). Zak Crisler (#17): 5'8" 135 lbs with 64 catches. As a junior. Underrated Storylines Jeter McArthur (#15) put up 77+ YPG catching passes from a backup sophomore QB who took over in game two. Most guys' production tanks with a QB change. His didn't. Landrum-Hamilton (#30) only had 35 catches but 8 were TDs on a team that won the 5A state title. Cherry Creek spreads it around. When they needed a catch made, they went to him. Watson (#4) had 18 TDs in 11 games at Vista PEAK Prep and runs a 10.6 hundred. That speed at 6'0" 180 is college-ready right now. The One That Got Away Pierce from Buena Vista. 17 TDs on 34 catches. A TD literally every other reception. No Twitter, no list. Brutal. Composite: 30% Total Yards, 20% Receptions, 20% TDs, 15% Yards/Catch, 15% Yards/Game #1 Toray Davis | Score: 93.1 | Sr. | 6'2" 180 lbs | Fairview | @Toray_Davis21 GP / Receptions: 12 / 70 (STATE LEADER) Rec Yards: 1,557 (STATE LEADER) YPC / YPG: 22.2 / 129.8 (STATE LEADER) Rec TDs: 16 (1 every 4.4 catches) Long: 86 Why #1: The runaway winner. Leads the state in receptions (70), receiving yards (1,557), AND yards per game (129.8). At 6'2" 180 he's got ideal WR size and he's averaging 22.2 yards per catch -- meaning he's not just a volume guy, he's a big-play machine too. Perfect 100/100 on three of five scoring categories. Nobody else is close. #2 Brooklyn Bailey | Score: 85.7 | Jr. | 5'10" 158 lbs | Mountain Vista | @brooklyn61846 GP / Receptions: 13 / 57 Rec Yards: 1,312 YPC / YPG: 23.0 / 100.9 Rec TDs: 20 (STATE LEADER) Long: 80 Why #2: The TD king -- 20 receiving touchdowns leads the entire state, and he's only a junior. A TD every 2.9 catches is the best rate in the top 10. His 23.0 YPC is actually higher than Davis, and 1,312 yards at Mountain Vista (5A) is legit. Perfect 100/100 TD score. He'll be the top returning receiver next year. #3 Lyrik Smith | Score: 83.3 | Sr. | 6'1" 172 lbs | Coronado | @Lyrik_smith3 GP / Receptions: 11 / 69 Rec Yards: 1,264 YPC / YPG: 18.3 / 114.9 Rec TDs: 16 (1 every 4.3 catches) Long: 80 Why #3: Second in receptions (69), third in yards (1,264), and 114.9 YPG is second only to Davis. At 6'1" 172 he has WR1 size and the volume to match. 16 TDs in 11 games is elite production. The most well-rounded stat line after Davis. #4 Isaiah Watson | Sr. | 6'0" 180 lbs | Vista PEAK Prep | @isaiahwatson08 GP / Receptions: 11 / 54 Rec Yards: 1,190 YPC / YPG: 22.0 / 108.2 Rec TDs: 18 (1 every 3.0 catches) Why #4: 54 catches, 1,190 yards, 18 TDs. Co-Offensive Player of the Year in his league. A TD every 3.0 catches is the best rate among all 1,000-yard receivers. Also a track standout running 10.6 in the 100m. The kind of speed that makes a 22.0 YPC look routine. #5 Eli Swanson | Score: 80.9 | Sr. | 5'11" 170 lbs | Fossil Ridge | @eliswanson2026 GP / Receptions: 10 / 69 Rec Yards: 1,168 YPC / YPG: 16.9 / 116.8 Rec TDs: 16 (1 every 4.3 catches) Long: 68 Why #5: Tied for 2nd in receptions (69) in only 10 games -- nearly 7 catches per game, the highest rate in the top 10. 116.8 YPG is second among all receivers. 16 TDs match Smith. If he'd played 12+ games like others, he'd be pushing Davis for the yardage crown. #6 Jake Pisciotta | Sr. | Pueblo South | @Jake_Pisciotta GP / Receptions: 11 / 61 Rec Yards: 1,118 YPC / YPG: 18.3 / 101.6 Rec TDs: 14 (1 every 4.4 catches) Why #6: 61 catches, 1,118 yards, 14 TDs. First team all-state in 3A. A reliable route runner with size who dominated the South-Central League. Over 100 yards per game and a TD every 4.4 catches. Showed up in the biggest moments during the Colts' playoff run. #7 Noah Meurer | Score: 73.5 | Sr. | 6'0" 175 lbs | Arvada West | @noah_meurer GP / Receptions: 12 / 69 Rec Yards: 1,109 YPC / YPG: 16.1 / 92.4 Rec TDs: 13 (1 every 5.3 catches) Long: 84 Why #7: Tied for the reception lead with 69 catches. Consistent 5.8 catches per game over 12 games and broke 1,100 yards. An 84-yard long shows he can take the top off. Reliable high-volume target all season. Had a 3-TD playoff performance and caught the game-winning score against Columbine. #8 Nathan Rodriguez | Score: 73.0 | Sr. | 5'10" 145 lbs | Dakota Ridge | @RodriguezC63285 GP / Receptions: 14 / 68 Rec Yards: 1,170 YPC / YPG: 17.2 / 83.6 Rec TDs: 12 Long: 0 Why #8: 68 catches and 1,170 yards over a full 14-game season on a state championship team. At just 145 lbs he's the lightest player in the top 10 but still produced consistently. First team all-state in 4A. Named player of the game multiple times during Dakota Ridge's title run. Also returned punts and kicks. #9 Ethan Shirazi | Sr. | 6'2" 180 lbs | Ralston Valley | @Ethanshirazi6 Rec Yards: 1,027 Rec TDs: 12 Long: 50 Why #9: 1,027 yards and 12 TDs for a Ralston Valley team that reached the 5A state championship game. First team all-conference. At 6'2" 180 he's a versatile athlete who also returned kicks and played DB. Broke off a 50-yard TD against Columbine in one of the biggest regular season games in the state. #10 Landon Drumm | Sr. | Arapahoe | @LandonDrumm32 GP / Receptions: 12 / 56 Rec Yards: 1,013 YPC / YPG: 18.1 / 84.4 Rec TDs: 9 Why #10: 56 catches, 1,013 yards, 9 TDs. Second team all-state in 5A. A long, physical target at receiver who produced consistently over a full 12-game season. 18.1 YPC shows he's not just a chain-mover, he's a chunk-play threat. #11 Solomon Washer | Score: 70.1 | Sr. | 6'6" 190 lbs | Conifer | @WasherSolomon GP / Receptions: 11 / 60 Rec Yards: 926 YPC / YPG: 15.4 / 84.2 Rec TDs: 17 (1 every 3.5 catches) Long: 72 Why #11: The biggest receiver on the entire list at 6'6" 190 -- a true mismatch nightmare. 17 TDs (2nd in the state) and a score every 3.5 catches. At that size, he's a red zone weapon that's nearly impossible to defend. The yards total (926) is lower but the TD production is elite. #12 Jackson Coleman | Jr. | 6'3.5" 195 lbs | Valor Christian | @J_Coley_13 GP / Receptions: 13 / 45 Rec Yards: 975 YPC / YPG: 21.7 / 75.0 Rec TDs: 9 Why #12: 45 catches, 975 yards, 9 TDs as a junior. At 6'3.5" 195 with a 10.6 100m, he has the best size-speed combination of any receiver in the state. 21.7 YPC shows he's a downfield threat every snap. Helped Valor reach the 5A semifinals. He'll be the top returning wideout in Colorado next fall. #13 Collin Wolf | Score: 66.8 | Sr. | 6'2" 165 lbs | Coronado | @WithMajor GP / Receptions: 11 / 56 Rec Yards: 932 YPC / YPG: 16.6 / 84.7 Rec TDs: 14 (1 every 4.0 catches) Long: 96 Why #13: Lyrik Smith's running mate at Coronado, and he put up his own monster numbers -- 932 yards and 14 TDs. Has the longest reception on the entire list at 96 yards. The Coronado duo (Smith + Wolf) combined for 2,196 yards and 30 TDs. #14 Keegen Balistreri | Score: 63.2 | Sr. | 6'1" 160 lbs | Arvada West | @KeegenBalistre1 GP / Receptions: 12 / 63 Rec Yards: 937 YPC / YPG: 14.9 / 78.1 Rec TDs: 10 Long: 83 Why #14: Noah Meurer's teammate at Arvada West -- they ran a two-WR system that terrorized defenses (combined 132 catches, 2,046 yards, 23 TDs). 63 catches and 937 yards is a rock-solid WR2 line that would be WR1 numbers anywhere else. #15 Jeter McArthur | Sr. | 6'1" 165 lbs | Riverdale Ridge | @JeterMcArthur GP / Receptions: 11 / ~48 Rec Yards: ~849 YPC / YPG: ~17.7 / 77.2 Rec TDs: 7 Why #15: 77.2 receiving yards per game and 7 TDs. Second team all-state in 4A. Led the Ravens in receiving while catching passes from a backup sophomore QB after the starter went down with a knee injury in game two. The fact that he still produced at this level with a new signal-caller says everything about his ability to separate and make contested catches. #16 Quentin Torres | Score: 59.5 | Sr. | 5'8" 165 lbs | Forge Christian | @QuentinTorres07 GP / Receptions: 10 / 34 Rec Yards: 851 YPC / YPG: 25.0 / 85.1 Rec TDs: 10 (1 every 3.4 catches) Long: 73 Why #16: Also ranked #13 as a rusher -- a true dual-threat. 25.0 yards per catch is 2nd-best on the entire list. 851 receiving yards on only 34 catches means every reception is a chunk play. Combined with his 1,102 rush yards, Torres had 1,953 total scrimmage yards and 30 total TDs. #17 Zak Crisler | Score: 58.3 | Jr. | 5'8" 135 lbs | Palmer Ridge | @zakcrisler6 GP / Receptions: 14 / 64 Rec Yards: 945 YPC / YPG: 14.8 / 67.5 Rec TDs: 6 Long: 67 Why #17: A junior with 64 catches and 945 yards over a 14-game playoff run at Palmer Ridge. At 5'8" 135 he's undersized but already a volume target. Low TD count (6) hurts his score, but the catch total shows he's a possession receiver with room to grow. #18 Sabi Ruttgers | Sr. | Fairview | @Sebastian_Rutt2 GP / Receptions: 11 / 36 Rec Yards: 691 YPC / YPG: 19.2 / 62.8 Rec TDs: 11 (1 every 3.3 catches) Why #18: Playing across from Toray Davis, Ruttgers feasted on single coverage all season. An 11-to-36 TD-to-catch ratio is absurd -- a score every 3.3 receptions. One of the most efficient receivers in the state and a legitimate deep threat in his own right. Second team all-state in 5A. #19 Mikey Orawiec | Score: 55.4 | Sr. | 6'1" 155 lbs | Colorado Springs Christian | @MikeyOrawiec GP / Receptions: 9 / 37 Rec Yards: 808 YPC / YPG: 21.8 / 89.8 Rec TDs: 7 Long: 79 Why #19: 21.8 YPC and nearly 90 YPG in only 9 games. Big-play deep threat at 6'1". 808 yards on 37 catches means he doesn't need volume to produce yards. #20 Ethan Bonafede | Score: 55.4 | Sr. | 5'10" 160 lbs | Golden | @ethan_bonafede GP / Receptions: 11 / 61 Rec Yards: 750 YPC / YPG: 12.3 / 68.2 Rec TDs: 9 Long: 62 Why #20: Listed as an RB catching 61 passes -- that's an elite pass-catching back. 5.5 receptions per game out of the backfield. Versatile weapon. #21 Max Lovett | Score: 55.1 | Sr. | 6'0" 180 lbs | Cherry Creek | @MaxLovett11 GP / Receptions: 14 / 45 Rec Yards: 866 YPC / YPG: 19.2 / 61.9 Rec TDs: 8 Why #21: Cherry Creek's top target in a 14-game state championship run. 19.2 YPC means he's getting big plays in a run-first offense. 866 yards is impressive given how much Cherry Creek ran the ball. First team all-state. Career totals of 2,710 receiving yards and 27 TDs over four varsity seasons. Two-time state champion. #22 Nick Leopardi | Score: 54.9 | So. | 5'11" 145 lbs | Holy Family | @NickLeopardi17 GP / Receptions: 10 / 31 Rec Yards: 745 YPC / YPG: 24.0 / 74.5 Rec TDs: 10 (1 every 3.1 catches) Long: 63 Why #22: A sophomore averaging 24.0 yards per catch -- 3rd best on the entire list. 10 TDs on just 31 receptions (one every 3.1 catches). At Holy Family with two more years left, his ceiling is enormous. #23 Mason Bonner | Sr. | Mullen | @MasonBonner13 GP / Receptions: 11 / 47 Rec Yards: 767 YPC / YPG: 16.3 / 69.7 Rec TDs: 6 Why #23: 47 catches, 767 yards, 6 TDs as Mullen's top target. A sure-handed receiver with good size who made his share of contested catches over the middle. Consistent production across an 11-game season. #24 Griffin Campain | Sr. | Fort Collins | @Griffin_Campain GP / Receptions: 11 / 62 Rec Yards: 713 YPC / YPG: 11.5 / 64.8 Rec TDs: 5 Why #24: 62 catches is tied for 5th-most in the entire state. A high-volume target in a pass-heavy Lambkins offense. Led the team in receptions and was the safety valve on third down. Reliable underneath with the ability to pick up yards after the catch. #25 Jordan Jones | Score: 54.2 | Sr. | 6'2" | Banning Lewis Academy | @Jorda_njones8 GP / Receptions: 9 / 43 Rec Yards: 757 YPC / YPG: 17.6 / 84.1 Rec TDs: 8 Long: 71 Why #25: 84.1 YPG and nearly 5 catches per game in just 9 games. At 6'2" he has the size to be a contested-catch winner. 757 yards in 9 games projects to 1,000+ over a full season. #26 Asher Schembri | Sr. | Douglas County | @asherschembri15 GP / Receptions: 11 / 42 Rec Yards: 675 YPC / YPG: 16.1 / 61.4 Rec TDs: 7 Why #26: 42 catches, 675 yards, 7 TDs. A solid all-around receiver who provided Douglas County with a consistent presence in the passing game. Showed the ability to win on all three levels of the field. #27 Peyton Studebaker | Sr. | Legacy | @pstudebaker08 GP / Receptions: 11 / 47 Rec Yards: 676 YPC / YPG: 14.4 / 61.5 Rec TDs: 6 Why #27: 47 catches, 676 yards, 6 TDs. One of two Legacy receivers on this list and the steadier of the two with consistent production throughout the season. #28 Vince Basham | Score: 53.6 | Jr. | 6'1" | Chaparral | @V1nceBashan GP / Receptions: 10 / 26 Rec Yards: 718 YPC / YPG: 27.6 (STATE LEADER) / 71.8 Rec TDs: 9 (1 every 2.9 catches) Long: 74 Why #28: The highest yards-per-catch in the top 30 at 27.6 -- perfect 100/100 YPC score. Listed as a DB playing both ways, meaning he's an athlete. Every catch averages nearly 28 yards and a TD every 2.9 receptions. A junior at Chaparral with freakish big-play ability. #29 Jayce Newbill | Score: 53.5 | Sr. | 6'3" 165 lbs | Berthoud | @jtnewbill0 GP / Receptions: 9 / 52 Rec Yards: 697 YPC / YPG: 13.4 / 77.4 Rec TDs: 9 Long: 50 Why #29: 52 catches in 9 games = 5.8 per game, one of the highest catch rates in the top 30. At 6'3" 165 he's a tall, lean possession receiver. Nearly 80 YPG and 9 TDs. #30 Alijah Landrum-Hamilton | Sr. | Cherry Creek | @thejahfiles GP / Receptions: 13 / 35 Rec Yards: 532 YPC / YPG: 15.2 / 40.9 Rec TDs: 8 Why #30: Has maybe the best hands on this entire list. Does not drop the football. Period. Playing in Cherry Creek's loaded state championship offense means targets are spread around, but when the ball came his way, he caught it and usually scored. An 8-to-35 TD-to-catch ratio on a team that won it all. #31 Keaden Lake | Score: 52.4 | Sr. | 6'2" 175 lbs | Eagle Valley | @keaden_lake GP / Receptions: 11 / 39 Rec Yards: 715 YPC / YPG: 18.3 / 65.0 Rec TDs: 10 (1 every 3.9 catches) Long: 46 Why #31: Solid all-around line -- 715 yards, 10 TDs, and 18.3 YPC. At 6'2" 175 he's built for contested catches. A score every 3.9 receptions from Eagle Valley. #32 Joey Jewett | Sr. | Legacy | @JosephJewett41 GP / Receptions: 11 / 55 Rec Yards: 594 YPC / YPG: 10.8 / 54.0 Rec TDs: 5 Why #32: 55 receptions is tied for 6th-most in the entire state. Led Legacy in catches. At 5.0 per game, his quarterback trusted him in every situation. Pure possession slot receiver who moved the chains. The second Legacy receiver on this list alongside Studebaker.
