‼️Russia is now officially threatening the Baltic states over their support for Ukraine. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Moscow will take measures against Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia for allowing their airspace to be used for drone operations. According to analysts and intelligence assessments, Russia is actively preparing for a potential confrontation with NATO. The outlet Bild has described a scenario in which parts of the Baltic states could be occupied within 10 days. In response, the Baltic countries are developing evacuation plans, strengthening defensive lines, and relying on NATO’s Article 5 — although Trump has repeatedly signaled that the U.S. may not be committed to it or to the EU.

JUST IN: Iran threatened to hit Jubail for decades. It never needed to. The Strait of Hormuz did the job. Sadara Chemical Company, the $20 billion joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical, has indefinitely shut down all production at its Jubail complex in eastern Saudi Arabia. Every line halted. Every cracker cold. Every reactor idle. The company says it cannot provide a resumption date, calling it “contingent on domestic and international factors,” which is corporate language for: we do not know when the strait will reopen, and neither does anyone else. Sadara is one of the largest integrated petrochemical facilities on earth. Its cracker produces 1.5 million tonnes of ethylene per year. Its 26 downstream units convert that into 750,000 tonnes of polyethylene for packaging and pipes, 350,000 tonnes for films and coatings, 360,000 tonnes of ethylene oxide for detergents, plus propylene, polyols, and isocyanates feeding construction, automotive, textiles, and agriculture across three continents. Total capacity exceeds three million tonnes. All of it offline. Not because a missile hit the plant. Because the feedstock arrives by sea through a passage the IRGC now controls with a toll, a clearance code, and a $2 million fee in yuan. This is what economic chokepoint warfare looks like when it works. No warhead. No crater. No dramatic satellite imagery of burning infrastructure. Just a phone call from the operations manager to the board saying we cannot source naphtha and the cracker cannot run without naphtha and the naphtha cannot arrive because the strait is not open and the strait is not open because a war that started 4,000 kilometres away has turned the most important waterway on earth into a permissioned corridor. The plant is intact. The plant is also useless. Asia is hit first and hardest. China, India, South Korea, and Taiwan are the primary importers of Gulf polyethylene and ethylene derivatives. Packaging plants are already rationing. Polyethylene spot prices in Asia and Europe spiked 10 to 15 percent within hours of the announcement. Construction supply chains that depend on polyethylene pipe and insulation are extending lead times. Automotive interiors, textiles, consumer electronics casings, and agricultural films all trace back to the same cracker that is now sitting cold in the Saudi desert because the molecule that feeds it cannot pass through a strait 1,500 kilometres away. The 2026 financial results for both Aramco and Dow will be materially impacted. Sadara cost $20 billion to build over a decade of construction. Its output feeds global supply chains that generate multiples of that value downstream. The shutdown is not a line item. It is a systemic event that demonstrates what happens when one geological chokepoint controls the feedstock for an entire industrial ecosystem. Iran did not fire a single missile at Jubail. The toll regime, the insurance bifurcation, the yuan payment system, and the selective clearances achieved what a barrage of Shaheds could not: the indefinite closure of a facility that took a decade to build and serves customers in 50 countries. It cannot restart until a strait that nobody controls is declared “open, free, and clear” by a president who posted on Truth Social that the alternative is the Stone Ages. The plant is intact. The plant is silent. And the molecule that would make it run is sitting in a tanker that cannot move. open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

JUST IN: Mt. Everest guides accused of “poisoning” climbers to trigger helicopter rescues as part of an insurance scam. The guides have allegedly been lacing hikers' food and pressuring them into taking expensive rescue helicopter evacuations. "Guides with the trekking agencies allegedly poisoned tourists by putting baking soda in their food to trigger severe gastrointestinal distress that mimicked altitude sickness or food poisoning," the New York Post reports. Operators would allegedly then forge medical documents and flight documents to charge international travel insurers. According to police, the groups have received $19.69 million in insurance payouts. Police in Nepal have charged 32 individuals for organized crime and fraud, including trekking company owners, helicopter operators, and hospital executives.

There's a lot of confusion out there, including with Trump, that the US has lots of oil to sell to the world. We do not. We're a net importer of crude (~+3 Mb/d). The EIA reports that fact in great detail every week. The confusion stems from using the term "petroleum exports" which includes the bodacious amounts of natural gas liquids (NGL) that come from our wet gas plays. That stuff isn't "oil" and it is exported because it's wildly overproduced compared to our needs. Yes, the US is a net exporter of "petroleum," but it's also a net IMPORTER of crude oil. In other words, the US has none to sell. There's more complexity to why we export 3M b/d of crude (it's the wrong kind for our refineries) and also import 6.4 M b/d of crude (which is the right kind).

BREAKING: US Navy will not open the Strait of Hormuz Trump gives nations who import oil from the Middle East three options: 1) Buy your oil from US and Venezuela instead 2) Secure the Strait themselves with limited US support Or 3) Wait for Hormuz to reopen naturally

Donald Trump has disproportionately rejected aid to Democrat-led states. This is impeachable. There is no excuse for this, especially considering that blue states are the economic force that drives our country. Look at the states that send more to the federal government than they receive back. They are almost all blue states. Net donors: 🔵California (+$72.0 billion) 🔵Massachusetts (+$30.0 billion) 🔵Washington (+$22.5 billion) 🔵New Jersey (+$19.4 billion) 🔵New York (+$19.4 billion) 🔵Connecticut (+$17.7 billion) 🔵Colorado (+$6.2 billion) 🔵Minnesota (+$3.7 billion) 🔴Utah (+$3.4 billion) 🔵New Hampshire (+$2.9 billion) 🔴Nevada (+$1.3 billion)

In 1106 AD; Germany, a family makes a choice that seals their daughter's fate before she's old enough to understand it.... She's eight years old. They send her to a Benedictine monastery, not for schooling, not for a season. Forever. She's an oblate, a living gift to God. Her childhood ends the day she arrives. Her name is Hildegard, and she should have disappeared into history like countless others. But something else is happening inside her mind. Visions. Blinding, celestial floods of light and imagery that she can't control and barely comprehends. She calls them "the living light." They're so strange, so overwhelming, she tells almost no one. For thirty years, she keeps this secret locked inside, unsure if it's divine, if it's madness, or if anyone would ever take her seriously. Then at forty, everything changes. She hears a command she can't ignore. Write it down. All of it. So she does. What emerges is breathtaking. Scivias, a theological epic bursting with symbolic visions of creation and salvation, unlike anything her era had seen. Medical texts cataloging hundreds of plants, stones, and treatments with a precision that wouldn't be matched for centuries. Seventy original compositions of sacred music, so hauntingly unusual she's now recognized as one of the first named female composers in the West. But Hildegard doesn't stop at writing. She founds two monasteries. She writes to emperors, popes, kings, not with deference, but with authority. She corrects them. Challenges them. She preaches in public, breaking every rule that says a woman has no right to speak. She becomes a prophet, a healer, an intellectual force that even the most powerful men in Europe can't dismiss. And then the world forgets her. For eight hundred years, her name fades into footnotes. It takes until 2012 for the Catholic Church to finally canonize Hildegard of Bingen and name her a Doctor of the Church, one of only four women ever given that honor. She was locked away at eight. She turned that cage into a stage that echoed across a millennium. Some people refuse to stay small, even when the world demands it. Hildegard didn't just write music, she invented an entirely new language. Called Lingua Ignota, it contained over 1,000 words and its own alphabet. Scholars still debate whether it was a mystical code, a philosophical experiment, or an early constructed language centuries before Esperanto. She also described her migraines in such vivid detail that modern neurologists have used her writings to study the visual phenomena of severe migraines. Her descriptions of zigzagging lights and fortification patterns match what we now know as migraine auras, leading some to believe her visions were partly neurological. Despite her massive influence, Hildegard was nearly canonized multiple times throughout history but the processes stalled or were abandoned. It wasn't until Pope Benedict XVI finally declared her a saint and Doctor of the Church in 2012, more than 800 years after her death, that she received the official recognition many believed she'd earned centuries earlier. #archaeohistories

Another peer-to-peer call. The reviewer was kind. Really kind. But, respectfully, not my peer. He listened as I explained why my patient needs lymphovenous bypass surgery. It’s a surgery that can treat the painful swelling in her arm caused by breast cancer treatment and prevent it from getting worse. She has done everything right. Compression. Therapy. Expensive garments. She’s changed her life to spend an hour a day with every resource she can afford. It’s affecting her ability to work as a nurse. And she is getting worse. This is the window where we can fix it. Early enough that surgery can actually change the course. We can do this surgery outpatient. Two hours. CMS even has a code for it. The man on the phone agreed it would help her… But he couldn’t approve it… Because he’s not a plastic surgeon and doesn’t have the specific knowledge necessary to make this recommendation. He gave me the help he felt he could. He told me to appeal and told me not to expedite it, because that wouldn’t work in my favor. Every human involved in this case knows what we should do. But the system is inhumane.

**SALESFORCE JUST BORROWED $25 BILLION TO BUY BACK THEIR OWN STOCK WHILE PLANNING THE LARGEST TECH MASSACRE IN HISTORY** Marc Benioff is about to eliminate 45,000 human beings to pay for his $50 billion stock buyback scheme Read that again. They took on DEBT to inflate their share price while preparing to destroy nearly half their workforce Company is sitting on $34.9 billion in annual revenue. UP 11% year over year. Most profitable quarter in company history. Benioff made $29.9 million last year. Stock buyback will pump his personal wealth by another $180 million. Sources inside are saying the "workforce optimization" targets every division. Sales, engineering, support, marketing. Nobody is safe. I'm hearing middle management got the kill lists yesterday. Termination emails queued for Monday morning. Badge access revoked at midnight Sunday. The fucking audacity: they're calling it "strategic realignment for AI efficiency" Translation: we borrowed billions to make our stock price go up and now 45,000 families have to pay for it Salesforce employees logging in Monday morning are about to find out if they still have jobs If you work there, screenshot everything. NEW BOMBSHELL: CONFIRMED! Mr. Trump is the most corrupt president ever—his blood money is drowning Republicans who shield him. While you scrape by on groceries, Trump's worth jumped $3 billion in one year. This is not business. It is insider trading on steroids. Receipts? $580 million in oil futures dumped 16 minutes before his Iran pause. $1.5 billion bet five minutes before a market-shaking post. Cryptocurrency scams raked in $1.4 billion while he gutted regulations. Leaders in the United Kingdom are not mincing words: Sir Ed Davey called it "corruption of the worst kind"—Trump feeding cronies insider tips while his Iran war kills people. Keir Starmer refused to join the mess, clapping back: "This is not our war. We will not buckle." Republicans are fine with billions for Trump and Musk, but healthcare? Wages? No. This is not politics—it is organized crime. Blood on his hands, wallets in yours. We the People deal with all the bad news and corruption. Democrats will put that money back into the American people's hands—childcare, tax credits, affordable housing, healthcare for all, higher teacher salaries, student loan forgiveness. Then watch every single one of those Republicans run to the Supreme Court and say it is unconstitutional. Democrats have played the moral high ground for far too long. It is time we give America back to the people—invest the money in the people. Do not let Musk fool you: he is the ringleader. Trump is owned by foreign dictators.
