@chickadi This would work fine as long as you'd never want immediate access either, but at this day and age everyone does at some point, and that's when this whole "I'm too busy to read texts for hours" shtick becomes very annoying.

I simply don’t think that texting is a format that requires immediate response. The fact that not responding to someone for a few hours (phone’s off, you’re busy, etc.) is seen as a social faux pas is completely ridiculous to me. I do not want people to have constant access to me

utterly insane to me that anyone shares their location. you people live in a separate reality that I have no interest in exploring

i once dated someone and we got into a playful argument about why they wouldn’t share location “i’m a very private person, this feels like it’s moving too fast, that’s a big step” months later, after it didn’t work out, we were friends and i said “ok i need your location for logistics” he admitted the real reason he wouldn’t share it was because he never left the house and didn’t want anyone to see
