@Mhoni_Hiyst He has always wanted Morocco. Sure, federations and their tactics can seduce players, but his parents were openly saying he wants to play for Morocco. He was more so sure after Morocco's run in WC22 and saw an opportunity to make history. France already has its giants.

Ayyoub Bouaddi choosing Morocco over France was a massive win for Morocco. Imagine turning down France, where he could realistically have walked straight into their midfield despite being only 18.
Honestly, when you look at his profile and performances, it's hard to point to many French midfielders who are clearly better than him in his role right now. Yet he chose Morocco over one of the biggest footballing nations in the world.
That decision could end up being a defining moment for Moroccan football. A huge statement, and an even bigger boost for their future.

The other day it was Jorthy Mokio choosing DR Congo over Belgium. Today itโs Ayyoub Bouaddi choosing Morocco. More and more young African talents are embracing their African heritage over the European nations they were born in, and thatโs a huge win for African football. What makes it even sweeter is that these decisions are being made early in their careers, at the beginning of their journey and with their best years still ahead of them. Not after years of waiting for a European national team call-up that never came, and then turning to their African nation near the end of their career, but choosing Africa proudly while still young, ambitious, and full of potential.
