@basedrexic Genuine question..whats the point of dry fasting instead of just doing a regular fast?

Recently completed a ~4 day dry fast. Slightly unhappy as I hoped I'd be able to go for longer. I don't recommend this to anyone ofc but here's how it went for me: Unlike water fasting, it never gets any less difficult. You feel thirsty and hot the entire time as your body struggles to regulate internal temperature. My under eyes were very sunken in and my lips looked dry and deflated, they went back to normal after rehydrating. I had excellent mental clarity and okay energy levels throughout, my skin quality also improved. Imo it does get progressively easier, when I first started I had 3x as much body fat as I do now and could only go 1-2 days. My appetite was basically gone after the first day, with water fasting it usually takes ~72hrs, my appetite came back immediately after rehydrating though. I didn't do any major exercise besides walking every other day, recovering from any type of movement was really difficult, my muscles were sore and tight. I also took a hot shower on the last day and felt like I was going to pass out. Overall though nothing was that unpleasant besides the thirst. lbs lost: ~10 I regained everything after rehydrating and eating, I'll have to wait a few days to weigh myself without the water weight. I definitely won't attempt something like this again any time soon, my bf % is getting low and I could tell the stress was just too much. If you're interested, r/dryfasting is a good place to read about other people's experiences. Some of them are kinda schizo so I wouldn't take their advice too seriously though.
