Today marks my first day joining the @base team & @coinbase officially as a Community Manager. In this role, I will focus on expanding our global community building efforts and serve as a liaison with the incredible Base builders around the world. I am extremely grateful to our Chief Building Officer @jessepollak and the Head of Marketing @sarahzorah for this amazing opportunity. Their belief in my potential, along with their daily support, inspiration, and motivation, has contributed significantly to achieving this incredible success and land the job of my dreams. 1/2 - 🚀Introducing BNS Subnames 🚀 We are super excited to announce the launch of BNS Subnames! We've been hard at work developing this new feature, and it's finally ready for you to use. With BNS Subnames, you can create subnames from your existing names, such as wallet.example.base or blog.example.base. This feature allows you to organize and manage your onchain presence more effectively. In addition, you can gift subnames and send personalized gift messages through @xmtp_. The life of a SWE intern at @base, part 4. 🔵 I’ve finally experienced the “programmers high”. 🔥 There is no better feeling than this. Everything I was coding finally made sense, and over the past two weeks I was locked in implementing my research project. 🧑‍💻 In fact, just today I knocked out 13 commits! What is my research project you might ask? Investigating sub-second blocktimes in the OP-stack, and stage 1 of my forked implementation is almost complete. ⚡️ Coding aside, I had a chance to build at @paradigm’s coworking session where I met @notnotstorm, a brilliant crypto data expert who I look up to and has produced amazing data tooling and articles that I highly encourage everyone to checkout!📊 This event was such an amazing event, and I also had the chance to meet up with friends in the area and learn what other people are building. Funnily enough, as the event came to a close, the bartender mentioned that I was the person who stayed there the longest! 🤣 Super excited for the next coworking session, and I especially can’t wait for the Frontiers conference! I also had a chance to play around with more cool apps being built on Base! My favourite app this week is @moshicamera. It’s a fun app that lets you build an onchain photo gallery in a fun and creative way, and leverages passkeys.
