The hurdles you have to go through to watch a baseball game in 2026 is absolutely insane. Have MLB TV and Tigers are blacked out because I’m local. Go to download the NEW Detroit Sports Network and the only 3 apps I can use are apps that I do not use.

@bfidelman @Glew91383 @YouTubeTV They are not going to take a station with zero programming besides pre, post and an actual game and expect to pay a fraction of the price as they would of a station that has 24/7 programming. Besides, there's a LONG history of Chris Ilitch being all about profit & being cheap

@bfidelman Will refunds be provided for customers who already have DSN through cable provider but can’t access away from home internet for some reason, so they have to pay $20 a month for something they already have bc mlb app doesn’t allow them to sign in with provider credentials?

@JoeMichiganFan You can sign up any time! If you signed up before March 23, you’d have gotten games for free until April 1. Was just pointing out that early subscriber benefit was about to end.

@bfidelman @w1llsp This is what I’d like to know too. As with other apps like FanDuel, you can login with your cable provider to watch games on your phone or computer while still in home market (like at work or a restaurant with no TVs). I hope we have this capability.

@bfidelman Hey Ben! I know someone asked a similar question but I wanted to make sure it’s clear. Will we be able to use our cable login to watch at mlb.com on our browser? Sort of like how you can authenticate Twins.tv for example on the site

@reggaewanderer It's based off the date you subscribe - so subscribe on March 26 and that'll be your renewal date the following month/year depending on what you choose.

@bfidelman It’s not cynical at all. It could end on Opening Day, not some arbitrary other date. We already have one annual pass and wanted to get another one. How much are the March games?

@reggaewanderer Kind of a cynical way to put it, but yes. The "early subscriber" offer had been available for almost three weeks, and at some point had to end!

@bfidelman And if we do it today, we are screwed out of “free” March?
