I can't even talk to people about it irl anymore or at work. The knowledge and skill differential gap between people has widened an incredible amount since opus 4.5 came out and continues to increase. One month here is easily a year IRL or for software prior

@usr_bin_roygbiv Going somewhere very outside the AI bubble is both comforting and alarming

@binfohazard @trashh_dev Not true. The startups are using the railroad built by Anthropic and OpenAI. It’s Rockefeller all over again.

you only have a startup because openai and anthropic have better things to build at the moment

with 5.5 in omp I have quite literally done thousands of turns on hundreds of agents recursively at once. That's why I think a vast majority of people don't notice the differences in intelligence between models. People aren't pushing them nearly hard enough and harnesses suck.
Reed@reed_barnes

@usr_bin_roygbiv wdyt your average number of turns is with a coding agent? Anthropic blog post said average # with Claude code is only 4, which I think is bonkers, but I suppose I do have a decent number of small 1-2 shot tasks throughout the day that bring the avg down

@usr_bin_roygbiv even with a decent Opencode harness, with Zai coding plan serving GLM it sometimes just completely stops producing any output mid thought have you noticed or found any solution

I started developing with coding agents outside of my fancy sandboxes I built, it's terrible. How do you people live like this. Barbarians. I've gotta show you how I do it, because the "sandboxes" that coding agents provide are complete crap. Like Codex/Claude Desktop, crap. Those aren't built for developers, those are built for idiots that are tricked into thinking they can develop code.

This is a new paradigm for interacting with Claude that is significantly more "inline" with all the other human activity org-wide. Once you do all of the under the hood engineering work to make this "just work" (e.g. across tools, integrations, compute environments, memory, security, etc.), Claude basically joins the team in a seamless way - you can talk to it as you would talk to a person and it can help with a very large variety of workloads. Imo this is the 3rd major redesign of LLM UIUX. The first paradigm was that the LLM is a website you go to, the second was that it is an app you download to your computer. This third one is that it is a self-contained, persistent, asynchronous entity with org-wide tools and context, working alongside teams of humans. It really takes a while to wrap your head around it, but it works and it is awesome.

Introducing Claude Tag, a new way for teams to work with Claude. In Slack, Claude joins as a team member with access to the channels and tools you choose. Tag Claude in and delegate tasks to it while you focus on other work.

@VinciRSS High art replaced with consumerist slop. I really miss the experience of buying a game even though I don’t buy physical media anymore

The almost total disappearance of physical video games from stores is deeply saddening, but the fact they got replaced with funkos and other cheap crap is even more depressing.

Re the steam machine "high" price: I will pay a 10x premium to not have to deal with a closed platform. I can run an adblocker, have the launch go to whatever I want, run whatever emulator or program I want. Even edit videos. Run a media server. Worth it to not be a slave
