Now that I'm no longer at Microsoft, I'm free to share some of my rebel tips 😎 Who wants me to post them?

@ibuildthecloud just use pi. it has all the capabilities of opencode's core, and a much better tui. it can even program in opencode features you're missing!

What people love about opencode is the TUI. I'm so tempted to build my own TUI for opencode and just use their backend. I can't stand the opencode TUI. It's just preference, it's not bad, just not my cup of tea.

Thats the trap, so fun to build the tools we use 😂 … the old “carpenters and their jigs and custom tools” … Almost spun out and started back up on a custom harness … had to pull back and think what I actually really needed as pain point and whipped up this instead a while back: github.com/izo0x90/antigr… 😂😅 always the temptation to just got back rock bottom and build you a language 😁

Lol Fable did seem pretty sick … but do think I have to say it. I’ll be the bearer of bad news, you absolutely never had wings, not even a parachute. Good news tho, absolutely can grow some, focus on your creativity and skills and take the tools you have as they come. (I’m making silly comments on X, please do not take this as holding any kind of weight, I do not know you or anything about you, this is all in jest)

God damn it I want Claude Fable back. I only had it for a few days but still feel like someone clipped my wings Also mind blowing to me that people actually think other models are almost as good

@AIandDesign I have been stuck in bed unable to know what I should do next, I hope it is back soon or I’m afraid I might expire from dehydration !

Why is everyone acting like they are unable to do anything without Fable? Get a grip, folks.

Lmao software was a hot mess, llm code gen. does not solve that problem. We already had too much bad software now we just get more of it. The bottleneck like in every other human endeavor is humans that are invested and put effort toward a better outcome. This as someone who uses llm code gen. extensively. Production lines or not if you want to make something good that people want to use and be around, it takes effort, attention and caring. There is a moment is time when you can outsource decision making to some other “intelligence” but that time is not now, right now, if you produce at the max rate the LOC printer allows, you are building garbage no two ways about it. Just setting little silent error and fallback traps that will frustrate users or worse for the next half decade 🤷🏼‍♀️. If you are building product that people are going to actually use, and it’s of any consequence, ya you should f..king get good. Using code gen. or not !

ngl "i am a programming god" isn't really a compelling argument to move other people away from AI the next one is inevitably: "it isn't that hard"

In college I used to think JavaScript was going to die and Py was going to rule the world. So naive. So, one day Rust will rule the word…

I don’t think it clear at all, the current models are pure heuristic snapshot decisions machines … if anything language models are only serving to reinforce this kind of precedence decision making in humans further! As it stands we a quite literally the only cognitive system with the capability to reason at a high level on logic and systems principles … we are still impulsive emotional messes … but everything else is even more so …
roon@tszzl

humans are really not built for first principles analytical thinking. even smart people find it incredibly exhausting. what we consider analysis is usually anxious panicking and avoiding something or the other. it is clear we are going to be massively outclassed in this soon

Wildly silly take on your part 😂 Yall keep going on with the nonsense, no, a business with high user adoption got acquired today, an enterprise that was able to secure enough resources to train a 1.5T parameter model got acquired today. I do not use cursor or any of it products and I think “agentic” source control is gonna set us back years in software quality. But you have lost your minds 😂 a “vscode” clone. What you think Google did before they had crawlers, they “leased” we web data from AltaVista. What you think Microsoft did, they paid a guy to essentially clone CP/M.

Looks like we're on the 5th stage of grief 1- Denial: "AI can't write real code." 2- Anger: "These AI idiots are ruining software engineering!" 3-Bargaining: "Okay, AI can write CRUD, but it'll never do architecture." 4: Depression: "Maybe my entire career is cooked." 5 - Acceptance: "Bro i'm so fucking sick of pretending this is normal" 😂
Raunak@caps_raunak

Bro I'm so fucking sick of pretending this is normal. AI was trained on Stack Overflow answers written by developers who got zero dollars and zero credit, and now those same developers are losing their jobs to the thing their free labor built. We built the rope. They just used it.

Texture refresh pass is in for Claude Citizen. Planets, moons, and ore rocks got a new look, so I recorded a quick 360° spawn flyby to show the updated space texture pass in motion. Still rough, still browser-native, still open source. claudecitizen.com
