It’s mass amnesty through two existing programs, an entirely new program, AND effectively guts any hope at mass deportations.

Americans have an absolute right to demand assimilation from every immigrant.
Do the Japanese have a right to demand cultural assimilation? If you say no, then you are not describing consensual immigration. You’re describing cultural cleansing against a native population’s will.

we demand assimilation because that is the only way to justify immigration. no culture would welcome millions of migrants determined — openly — to change their country. we will soon hear arguments in favor of total immigration moratoriums, and men like this will be responsible.
