@BobKalashnikov @FuddBusters If you really want a good one California is the best place to shop. They don't salt the roads and the emissions laws mean most haven't been hacked apart in someone's driveway. Worth the cost of driving out and trailering one home IMO.

@DerekDervinis @shipwreckedcrew My move is to play on my phone and just say no every time it sounds like they asked me a question. If they get mad I explain the same thing you do. "I understand your job is to try and sell me a bunch of stuff, I'm not going to buy any of it. You save time by going faster."

@shipwreckedcrew I've done the dance so many times that now as soon as I shake the finance managers hand, I let them know immediately- we are paying in full and I understand you have to offer me a whole bunch of add-ons but we are not agreeing to any of them. They get grouchy at first but its OK

The first pitch was a package of add-ons that totaled about $8000. He said it was factory policy that he had to get a written "decline" if my son didn't want them. I nodded "no". The guy steps out of the room. Comes back 3 minutes later, draws a line through the $8000 number, and writes $4000 -- Sales Manager approved the discount. I still nodded "No." I asked my son later what his reaction was, and he had the right answer -- life lesson -- "Why wasn't it $4000 to start with?"

@eigenrobot Americans could really easily engage in vigilance justice. I'm sure some amount of this is happening under the radar, but because British men allowed themselves to be disarmed, they can't do anything about it.

This guy needs to look heavily into what being dominant actually means. He can embrace it and, in doing so, meet both his and his wife's needs. If he can't manage that part, as a side benefit he can view it as good exercise.

@Meys_Gaming It's an interesting way to go about weight loss. I wonder if it would be measurable after a single night.

I have a little more availability in my schedule right now, so I'm going to try an afternoon stream Monday (12pm Pacific). I'll still stream at my normal evening time too. Double stream! Double Mey

@LaNativePatriot End the quarterly profit system. Businesses could and should be building for the long term health of their employees and owners. Quarterly profits force them to be overly aggressive and sacrifice everything to shirt term numbers.

I have a coworker, an awesome guy. One of those workers that comes in early, leaves late, and never uses a sick day. Our company has highlighted his work many times. He’s 65 now… I’ve worked with him for years and he was always looking forward to retirement.. which he will never do now. A model employee who always went the extra mile for the company. A boomer mentality of giving everything to your work… Last year his wife passed away. 1 year before he was set to retire. Since then he’s dedicated his life to the company.. he can’t retire now, because if he does, he’ll have no one to share it with That’s a horror story to me. Literally worst case scenario. I want to “work hard & provide” which my work seems to want… but I don’t have the “sacrifice all family time” to be that person. I’ll never be that model employee because I never want to be in the situation my co worker is in. Alone. With kids out of state and only work. That’s it… There’s so many jobs out there that just want a level of dedication that’s incompatible with family life. How do we fix this?

@Meys_Gaming Seems like it's not a good match for the Minecraft vibes. There's other games that do realism better.

The One Good Reason to Live in a Blue State Do you have that one P.O.S. gun that you just can't trust, no matter how much you tinker with it? This is mine. I won't sell a lemon, and I waited too long to return it. (I can fix it!) So now I'm stuck with it, until I can unload it in the next Democrat gun buyback.
