No this isn’t rage bait. 1. To be the 10th worst is pretty much middle of the pack of managers this season. 2. Arteta has had several seasons of investment and patience to achieve his goals. 3. (The trickiest one for Arsenal fans), your standards are higher - i don’t believe you will win anything this year. I think that justifies 10th.

As an Iranian, let me tell you what @POTUS is talking about here: In Iran, if you protest, you die. Not metaphorically. Snipers on rooftops shoot people in the head and chest. In January, the regime massacred thousands in the streets, many of them young people whose only crime was demanding a normal life. When he says Iranians are telling the U.S. “please keep bombing” he’s describing a population so desperate to be free from a regime that murders them for protesting, that they’re willing to endure war if it means the system that has terrorized them for 47 years finally falls. You may not understand that. Most Westerners can’t. You’ve never lived in a country where your daughter can be shot in the face for not covering her hair. Where your son disappears into Evin Prison and you get a call to come pick up the body. Where the internet goes dark so the world can’t see the killing. That’s what “they have lived in a world that you know nothing about” means. Before the media turns this into “Trump wants to bomb civilians,” understand: the Iranian people have been begging the world to see them for years. This is the first U.S. president to say it out loud.

Omid has spent a lot of time supporting the left and attacking people like Reform. Ironically he is more likely to get support from Reform supporters over Iran, but I doubt he will thank them. One by one people on the left get attacked by people on the left the moment they disagree with literally one thing. Eg JK Rowling is now a target for them. Omid will be too. The absolute state of the London liberal. Here we have a woman, likely a member of the "educated" elite, clutching a "Stop Bombing Iran" sign. She’s confronted by an Iranian woman—someone who has actually lived under the thumb of that regime, someone who has been imprisoned by them, someone who cannot even return to visit her father's grave. Does the protester listen? Does she pause to consider the reality of the "regime" she’s indirectly defending? Of course not. She offers a vacant, condescending smirk. It is a perfect distillation of the modern Left: prioritising performative virtue and anti-Western slogans over the lived reality of the very people they claim to care about. They’d rather side with a theocratic, oppressive regime than admit that the bad guys aren’t those in the West. Total and utter woke vapidness.
