@_Chrysaetos_ @p1nkch4n Araki probably picked it because the "Gio" is read as "Jo" in Japanese. It's probably why Giovanna had a "Gio" in it as well. Haruno having the "Jo" is hard for younger readers to catch onto, so it coming first makes it more confusing.

@catwarrior45 @p1nkch4n I'm not 100% sure, but afaik Giorno isn't an italian first name. Like you look it up and it says last name + boys italian name, but I've never seen evidence of anyone with the first name Giorno born before jojos. It is an italian word, but its just a word not a boys name

@thepaleunknown I honestly dislike people who hate James because he immediately regrets it and memory holes it. The Maria ending does imply he's a bit unhinged, but that can be due to the town making him not regret it.

@_Chrysaetos_ @p1nkch4n The editor himself points this out interestingly, but Haruno can also be read a Joruno. But this play of words only works if his name was Giorno (read as Joruno in Japanese), so it's more likely he came up with the name Giorno first.

@sillyzcrazy67 Steel Ball Run (the race) is probably very popular in Japan and Gyro being a well known racer in it probably got a lot of merchandise made for Japanese fans. I think SBR is a brand in that chapter.

@razeroboi @p1nkch4n This is simply not true. He never lets go of his past, he lets go of the idea that he is Josefumi or Kira. He still considers Holy his mom and her not being healed doesn't mean he forgot about her. He can't do anything because all the Rokakaka are gone.

@razeroboi @p1nkch4n Josuke comes to that conclusion separate from Karera, in which he decides to not be Josefumi or Kira. But unlike Karera, Josuke acknowledges his past and how his current identity is built upon it. Calling Holy his mom too is unlike Karera.

@razeroboi @p1nkch4n It's not a very good parallel considering Karera is super irrelevant to the plot and was only there to explain who Josefumi is. Besides that, she doesn't have much impact in the story and is never mentioned until Chapter 110 (her last appearance was chapter 55)

@razeroboi @p1nkch4n Previously, Araki said Rock Humans could fall in love but as a rare occasion. Chapter 99 says Rock Humans can't go beyond give and take. I'm curious where you got the Yasuho representing good luck interpretation, because her entire character is misfortune.

@catwarrior45 @p1nkch4n You misunderstood what I said. Yasuho represents fortune/good luck while tooru represents misfortune/bad luck hence why it makes sense for these two embodiments to be together and the "biology" didn't retcon anything it just shows how rock humans put survival over empathy

@razeroboi @p1nkch4n Rock Humans most definitely were retconned, read Chapter 99 and look at Chapter 46. Araki changed Rock Human biology to fit Toru's character. Also, you just changed your point from romance to fortune.
