During the restoration process, the repaired fault between Ben Street and Athol Street meggered out of phase. A contractor will be attending to correct the phasing. The team will proceed working on restoring mini-substation N583 on Scott Street. Mini-substation N330 on Burns Street will remain off until a replacement unit has been sourced. One team remains on site monitoring the load affecting areas such as Wilgeheuwel and surrounds while the other team is investigating areas such as Weltevredenpark that did not restore. The initial outage was caused by faults on the 88kV double circuit overhead lines. Further details will be shared after the tests are completed.
