introducing gigaverse, an epic onchain RPG built by crypto natives and veteran game devs at @GLHFers. the game will launch on {redacted} chain soon. here are some early details.

As many @creepz and @JirasanOfficial holders know - i like looking for my next play - and i LOVE feeling like i've just found a gem. So, how more people have yet to discover the depth of what @ForgottenRunes are doing is a bit of a mystery tbh. FRWC can truly lay claim to having captured the Fantasy portion of web3. Let's be honest, some people love fantasy content and others are just not interested. But those that do, are super passionate about the genre. Moreover, some in this space love games and others do not. Game-fi is in a weird space, waiting for potential to be realised. And for those that aren't already on Axie or Pixels etc, Ronin is arguably something of a web3 island right now, in terms of onboarding users and interacting with the rest of the space. But i hear that may be about to change... However, almost everyone loves projects that have clear fundamentals, are building a strong brand, has a passionate, engaged and positive community - and to top it all, now has a token launch imminent, to align with the (first?) full game launch. So, as a holder of less than 24 hours, this is just a top of mind recap of what the team has done/is doing (and pls bear in mind that i'm still learning, so suspect this is just the tip of the iceberg): - Full-fat web3 MMORPG, being launched Q1 '25 which... - Incorporates points ('donuts', lol) and $xp, with TGE imminent (Q1 '25) - 3D and playable versions of all Wizards (10k) & Warriors (15k) - Comics - published, industry native creators. Available in Walmart - TV Series - underway, from John Wick writer Derek Kolstad - Live irl events - Merch (love the socks) - Deep, community generated Lore (and an LLM - the Loracle) This playbook will sound very familiar to many @creepz holders too. And it's all being realised right now - indeed, this might be the perfect onboarding moment. The other point to note is that unlike some communities that have been around since '21, holder's positivity and enthusiasm for the project is absolutely palpable. From the founders to the discord chat, the DMs to the group chats. I've been welcomed in an incredibly upbeat, seemingly authentic way - and that's certainly not always the case, in my experience. You should check out the great thread by @Aizcalibur (link in comments), which goes into many of the nooks and crannies. But as my newly created Bookmarks folder shows - there is so much to explore (shout out @ValeriaStudios & ApeChain cameos, lol). There's no doubt that it's a daunting prospect to join an established and complex community - but trust me when i say this feels like one of the good ones. I'm just looking forward to exploring and learning more in the coming days. Now, about those socks... @rmninc @dotta (can't tag you, so apols but doing so here).
