What happens when your AI provider goes down in production? Laravel's new AI SDK has a simple but powerful feature, failover. Instead of hardcoding a single provider, you pass an array. If Anthropic fails, OpenAI takes over. If that fails too, Gemini picks it up. Automatically.

Over 10 years of building, teaching, and learning alongside an incredible community. I'm not done though. Excited to focus on what developer education looks like in the AI era. P.S. When I saw @1Password was increasing their price, I was expecting to see a lot more than a tiny $1/month increase?? I'd happily pay significantly more for 1P. It's absurdly cheap for the one tool that keeps everything else I use secure.
