If any version of our workplace communication caused hurt or made any of our team members feel that their faith was unwelcome here, we are deeply sorry. That is not who Lenskart is, and it is not who we will ever be. We make a commitment today - not just in words, but in the document we are publishing - that every policy, every training material, and every communication that carries the Lenskart name will reflect these values. Here is proof that you LIED @peyushbansal. You claimed that the style guide that was leaked was ‘inaccurate and outdated’ and that you withdrew it on 7th of February. So please explain WHY on 8th April 2026 your company was conducting video audits of stores and penalising employees for wearing a bindi?

I have listened to your concerns and I understand your sentiment around this. I want to add more context to my earlier post. The document currently circulating is an outdated internal training document. It is not an HR policy. That said, it contained an incorrect line about bindi/tilak that should never have been written and does not reflect our values or actual practice. When we discovered this on February 17, well before this became a public conversation, we immediately removed it. But I should have caught this earlier. As Founder and CEO, the responsibility for such lapses is mine. I have asked my team to bring all such materials under stricter review, and I will personally ensure this is addressed going forward. We are also looking into how this found its way into our training content. Let me be absolutely clear. Lenskart does not and will never restrict any form of respectful religious expression. This includes bindi, tilak, or any such symbols of faith. Our team members have always been, and will always be, free to express their beliefs with pride. I also want to thank everyone who raised this. Your voice helps us improve and stay true to what we stand for.

Anti-Modi stance has great viewership online. Not just in India but also from the neighborhood. Pro-Modi/Neutral voices will realise the pot of gold is somewhere else, even a mildly accusatory video will give them great viewership and subsequent ad-dollars. The algorithm will slowly sway them away to the other side. Keep watching.

Vulture populations in India collapsed. 500,000 people died as a result.
In the 1990s, Indian farmers started using a cheap painkiller called diclofenac on their cattle. When vultures ate the carcasses, the drug destroyed their kidneys.
Without vultures, cattle carcasses rotted in fields instead of being stripped clean in 45 minutes. Feral dog populations exploded by five million. Rabies cases surged. Pathogens spread through water supplies.
University of Chicago economists compared death rates in districts that used to have vultures to districts that never did. Human mortality rose more than 4% after the collapse. Over 100,000 extra deaths a year. Half a million in five years.
India banned the drug in 2006. The vultures still haven't recovered.
This is what a keystone species is to us. This is why we protect the animals nobody finds cute.
