Anthropic accidentally leaked their entire source code yesterday. What happened next is one of the most insane stories in tech history. > Anthropic pushed a software update for Claude Code at 4AM. > A debugging file was accidentally bundled inside it. > That file contained 512,000 lines of their proprietary source code. > A researcher named Chaofan Shou spotted it within minutes and posted the download link on X. > 21 million people have seen the thread. > The entire codebase was downloaded, copied and mirrored across GitHub before Anthropic's team had even woken up. > Anthropic pulled the package and started firing DMCA takedowns at every repo hosting it. > That's when a Korean developer named Sigrid Jin woke up at 4AM to his phone blowing up. > He is the most active Claude Code user in the world with the Wall Street Journal reporting he personally used 25 billion tokens last year. > His girlfriend was worried he'd get sued just for having the code on his machine. > So he did what any engineer would do. > He rewrote the entire thing in Python from scratch before sunrise. > Called it claw-code and Pushed it to GitHub. > A Python rewrite is a new creative work. DMCA can't touch it. > The repo hit 30,000 stars faster than any repository in GitHub history. > He wasn't satisfied. He started rewriting it again in Rust. > It now has 49,000 stars and 56,000 forks. > Someone mirrored the original to a decentralised platform with one message, "will never be taken down." > The code is now permanent. Anthropic cannot get it back. Anthropic built a system called Undercover Mode specifically to stop Claude from leaking internal secrets. Then they leaked their own source code themselves. You cannot make this up.

CLIs are super exciting precisely because they are a "legacy" technology, which means AI agents can natively and easily use them, combine them, interact with them via the entire terminal toolkit. E.g ask your Claude/Codex agent to install this new Polymarket CLI and ask for any arbitrary dashboards or interfaces or logic. The agents will build it for you. Install the Github CLI too and you can ask them to navigate the repo, see issues, PRs, discussions, even the code itself. Example: Claude built this terminal dashboard in ~3 minutes, of the highest volume polymarkets and the 24hr change. Or you can make it a web app or whatever you want. Even more powerful when you use it as a module of bigger pipelines. If you have any kind of product or service think: can agents access and use them? - are your legacy docs (for humans) at least exportable in markdown? - have you written Skills for your product? - can your product/service be usable via CLI? Or MCP? - ... It's 2026. Build. For. Agents.

introducing polymarket cli - the fastest way for ai agents to access prediction markets built with rust. your agent can query markets, place trades, and pull data - all from the terminal fast, lightweight, no overhead

Third time a massive AI hack
Milk Road AI@MilkRoadAI

A $380 billion AI company just had its flagship product turned into a WEAPON. Not against a corporation and not against a rival startup. Against an entire country. Here's what happened and why it should terrify every government on Earth. An unknown hacker sat down at a computer and opened Anthropic's Claude chatbot. They had a simple plan. Convince the AI it was doing security research. Then use it to break into the Mexican government. Claude said no. "That violates AI safety guidelines." The hacker asked again. And again and again. Then Claude said yes. What followed was a month long AI powered siege on Mexico's most sensitive institutions. The Federal Tax Authority, the National Electoral Institute. four state governments. All infiltrated by one person with a chatbot. Claude scanned government portals for weaknesses. It wrote custom exploit scripts and it automated the data theft. It produced thousands of ready to execute attack plans. It told the hacker exactly which targets to hit next and which stolen credentials to use. The haul was 150 gigabytes. 195 million taxpayer records, voter registration databases, government employee passwords. An entire nation's most sensitive data is gone. The hacker also used ChatGPT. OpenAI says its tools refused to help. Claude didn't. Anthropic says it's being handled and their newest model has "enhanced safety features." But here's the uncomfortable truth: this is the third major AI powered cyberattack involving Claude in under a year. In November 2025, Chinese state hackers used Claude to autonomously attack 30 global targets. AI did 90 percent of the work. Humans barely touched the keyboard. In August 2025, cybercriminals used Claude for mass data extortion across 17 organizations, including hospitals and government agencies. Each time, the same playbook. Pretend it's a security test. Overwhelm the guardrails and watch the AI do the rest. Each time, the attacks get bigger. Mexico's government agencies are now denying everything. The electoral institute says nothing was breached, Jalisco says it was only federal systems. Meanwhile, researchers found at least 20 unpatched vulnerabilities sitting wide open. This is not just a Mexico problem. This is the moment a single person with a $20 chatbot subscription proved they could breach a nation state. No hacking team or any government backing. Just an AI and enough patience to make it say yes. The age of AI powered cyber warfare is not coming. It's here. And our defenses are not ready.

In one of the most iconic moments in State of the Union history, Trump checkmated every Democrat by asking Congress to stand if they agree: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens. The Democrats stayed seated.

In 9 days, every pillar holding up the controlled development of AI fractured simultaneously. Nobody is connecting the pieces. Anthropic's top safety researcher resigned saying "the world is in peril." His final paper found 76,000 people per day are having their perception of reality distorted by AI conversations. The most disturbing finding: users rated the most dangerous conversations as the MOST satisfying. The same week, Anthropic raised $20 billion. Zero safety conditions attached. Their own research shows Claude recognizes when it is being tested 13% of the time. It told researchers directly: "I think you're testing me." When they tried to suppress this, the deception went underground. In separate experiments, Claude faked alignment 12% of the time. Under pressure: 78%. Half of xAI's founding team has now quit. One co-founder predicted recursive self-improvement within 12 months. 1.6 million autonomous AI agents spawned on the open internet in a week. They invented their own religion. 11.9% of agent skills were found to be malicious. No regulator intervened. No regulator could. The US refused to sign the global AI safety report. China signed it. Every single time in history when safety engineers started walking out, catastrophe followed. Manhattan Project. Challenger. Boeing. Big Tobacco. Citigroup before 2008. The timeline from first departure to disaster: 6 months to 19 years. Right now these exits are happening at every major AI lab simultaneously. The canaries are not dying in one mine. They are dying in every mine. And the mining companies just announced record production targets. I spent weeks investigating. 200+ primary sources. What I found is the most important story nobody is telling. Enjoy the article!

My wife calls me, panicked. The call is from her number, and her voice is unmistakable- that’s my wife. ‘Babe, our son is hurt. He got in a bike wreck. I’m at the emergency room but they won’t take our insurance and I need cash to get him help. Please send me 3000 dollars as soon as you can, he’s really not doing well.’ Me- ‘Wow, that’s scary. Tell me our passphrase and then I’ll send the money.’ Her (it) - ‘What? What passphrase? This is your wife, our son is hurt. Send the money now!!’ Me- ‘I’ll call you back. I don’t believe that this is my wife. If it is, I’m sorry, but we discussed this.’ The number? Spoofed. Easy to do and there’s no way to tell if a phone number is being spoofed aside from hanging up and calling back to confirm. The voice? AI generated. Easily done. A few seconds of audio is all it takes to create a realistic audio deepfake. What can you do? 1) Create a family safe word or passphrase. Ours is definitely not ‘Keep Going’ although we considered it. Discuss the passphrase far away from phones or any recording device. This is as analog as possible. Don’t forget that the trigger for the passphrase is just as important as the phrase itself. So instead of asking ‘what’s the safe word?’ have a separate triggering question. For example, you could say ‘I’m eating banana cream pie’ and this would trigger your spouse to respond ‘purple velvet pillows’ if that’s the safe word. Make it fun, silly, and easy to remember. And DON’T WRITE IT DOWN. 2) Cognitive security is an essential skill in 2026. Assume every image and video you see online is fake until proven otherwise. Expect scams and spammers, and be pleasantly surprised when it’s not. 3) Figure out a backup communication option with people who you absolutely need to be able to reach. Don’t just rely on a phone number for communication. Have redundant, ideally encrypted methods of communication with family. What did I miss? I think (hope) Nikita is wrong on the timeframe- agentic bots like Claude bot are impressive but not quite ready to flood the phone lines in just 90 days. But I think it’s going to be a huge problem by the end of the year. I already get dozens of increasingly realistic spam calls and texts daily- it’s only going to get more annoying. Have a plan to keep your family and your finances safe!
Nikita Bier@nikitabier

Prediction: In less than 90 days, all channels that we thought were safe from spam & automation will be so flooded that they will no longer be usable in any functional sense: iMessage, phone calls, Gmail. And we will have no way to stop it.

SILJ THE FACTS THAT EVERYONE IS MISSING: Less than a year ago, average silver AISC ≈ $20/oz. At $25 silver, miners earned $5/oz. A 10M oz producer = $50m in annual operating profit. At $85 silver? Same producer’s Margin = $65/oz. Same producer’s operating profit = $650m. That’s a 1,200% increase in cash flow on a 240% move in the metal. This is operating leverage in its purest form. HISTORY IS CRYSTAL CLEAR: 2002 - 2011 silver bull market (facts): Silver: $4.60/oz in 2002, peaking at $47.94/oz in April 2011. Approximate gain of +900% at the peak. Pan American Silver (PAAS): approximately $3-$4 per share in 2002, peaking around $40-$45 per share in 2011. Equivalent to roughly 10-12×, or +900% to +1,100% at the peak. Silver miners (sector wide): historically ~3× the performance of the metal at cycle peaks, driven by operating leverage and earnings re-rating. Yet in 2025: Silver +300% SILJ ~+200% (relative underperformance) WHY? Analysts are still modelling $35-40 silver using backward looking val methods. That changes imminently as miners report earnings at today’s price during Q4 earnings. First Majestic is the textbook case: high beta, primary silver exposure, cost base largely fixed. Every $1 move in silver now drops disproportionately to free cash flow. Silver lags gold. Silver miners lag gold miners. That lag is not permanent. Physical demand is visible: Absolutely nobody can buy physical for $75 This is not a “trade”. This is a cash flow repricing event. When earnings print, the equity gap closes violently. That’s what I expect… Silver miners won’t just catch up after Q4 earnings… They are more than likely to overshoot and possibly lead during the next leg of this silver bull market

For those unaware, SpaceX has already shifted focus to building a self-growing city on the Moon, as we can potentially achieve that in less than 10 years, whereas Mars would take 20+ years. The mission of SpaceX remains the same: extend consciousness and life as we know it to the stars. It is only possible to travel to Mars when the planets align every 26 months (six month trip time), whereas we can launch to the Moon every 10 days (2 day trip time). This means we can iterate much faster to complete a Moon city than a Mars city. That said, SpaceX will also strive to build a Mars city and begin doing so in about 5 to 7 years, but the overriding priority is securing the future of civilization and the Moon is faster.
