I’ve always had respect for Massie. He was always -in my opinion - wrong about his approach but he was standing on heartfelt principles and had intellectual backing. He’s a nice guy. But comments like this make me question his authenticity. The USS Liberty incident is a tragic one, but it’s an incident with a clear conclusion if one uses any objective analysis of the facts. I thought Massie was capable of objective analysis. Perhaps he still is. Perhaps we are simply witnessing another example of the irresistible incentive to jump on the bandwagon of grifters that guarantee you a specific kind of social media audience and attention that ultimately results in profits.

Spoke to a rep who sells manly* DeWalt tools and some of those girlier brands of tools. He said the ones they make for Lowes and all these big hardware stores are cheaper and fall apart faster. But theirs are stronger and mentioned the store bought tools have plastic pieces, but their tools have metal pieces in certain parts of the tool. 🤔 Do you believe that? Or is it a sales pitch?

I've paid my handyman well over $5k this year alone. He is a retired homebuilder referred to me by my plumber. He's building a screen room off the master bedroom next. It took me 2 years out here to find someone that really knows what he is doing. His hourly rate is $50 per hour or he will bid a job as a whole #. There are millions of early 60 yo females with a need for such things without the nightmare of inviting a stranger into your home. Be clean, bonded and knowledgeable, timely and respectful. You'll make a fortune if you market that right.
