Most EU countries have a system that should be mandatory for any masked police officer— unique ID number on uniform. Police there know if they abuse a citizen they can be identified later from photos of ID number. For plainclothes, put the number on their checked cap, obvs.

There are times, perhaps, where you’re not using your name or stating your intentions. Hell, I lived that for years. This ain’t that. Not even close. Not here. Show your face. Say your name. State your purpose and authority. If you can’t, you shouldn’t be doing what you’re doing.

Next, they create a Google OAuth application. For the name of the application, they enter *the entire text of the Phishing message* - newlines and all - followed by a lot of whitespace, and "Google Legal Support".

Recently I was targeted by an extremely sophisticated phishing attack, and I want to highlight it here. It exploits a vulnerability in Google's infrastructure, and given their refusal to fix it, we're likely to see it a lot more. Here's the email I got:

"design tinyurl" is still unparalleled as a systems design question despite being the most popular for all these years you simply can't fake it, there's too many rabbit-holes if you just memorize the answer, you'll always trip up and get caught by a good interviewer

@2thegreat166318 @maxdubler @ghostburps The MBTA communities act is, honestly, piddling; most communities complying with it will see little change in housing created as a result. It's bipartisan largely because it's extremely weak and does very little; esp. compared to e.g. California's extensive housing reform efforts

@crschmidt @maxdubler @ghostburps All true on a municipal level. And zoning (which is also municipal) is outrageous. Westport, MA has min single family lot size of 1.3 acres. I'm thinking of the bipartisan MBTA Communities act which should be a if not the model for all States with extensive public transport.

@2thegreat166318 @maxdubler @ghostburps huh? On a municipal level, Cambridge-based lefty organizations held a rally opposing ending single family zoning. At a statewide level, Massachusetts is thought of as progressive, but has some of the most restrictive zoning regulations in the country. How is MA a counterexample?

@mnolangray The answer across the board is "Something that you can try out in person first"; either at a shop or with a friend. So much of "What makes a good e-bike?" is personal preference; everyone loves the one they have, but most people haven't ridden 30 different ones like I have.

@NathanChio @clhubes "Cool couple Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen chose it for their daughter, reviving the name to stylishness, and now Drew Barrymore has a little Olive too, as has country singer Jake Owen." Looks like it definitely gained popularity after Sacha Baron Cohen used it.

@johnhawkinson It's always been a performance; whether it's useless or not is a much harder question to answer. (My feeling is that most of politics is intended as a form of persuasive performance art, so it's not different than many other political things in this sense.)
