The Pink opposition has actually lost 9 pts since Mar-25 when it was 2nd to the Green opposition. All those protests staged by Tindig Pilipinas since Aug-25 have done virtually nothing to move the needle.

Govt chooses to tax and spend on targeted subsidies instead of a rollback of existing tax rates. If you're going to do that then make it a condition of receiving subsidies recipients don't oppose the govt's PUV modernization program. Taxpayers deserve more.

Between a complete rollback of VAT and fuel excise tax and doing nothing, there is a partial rollback that is budget neutral wherein government collects the same amount of tax as the pre-war scenario and consumers pay less for a liter of petrol than they otherwise would.

The Philippines produced the "Manila envelope" to hold volumes of paperwork needed to apply for anything. Like nowadays you need a Certified Board Resolution Letter of Authority for the CEO of a company to sign on its behalf! Just as you need a valid ID to apply for an ID.
