I read through some of it, but I can’t see anything wrong honestly. Incentivizing people is great. I ask people to go engage on stuff I like all the time to support it. Coordinating influencers is good too. On a previous project I was a part of we used to go all the way to writing up people’s ad copy, ad creatives, create their landers, funnels, and give them a turnkey system to run ads through their own domains to our project + ad-coop for bigger campaigns. Still planning to do that on my current platform too. They’d get paid affiliate commissions and we’d grow faster together. Optimizing for the algorithm isn’t manipulation either. Unless you use fake likes, bot comments, etc. in which case it’s a hard no. Which part you think is against ToS?

The end game is that every serious tech company gonna build “general purpose agent” that can do anything (code, research, assist, etc). Same as the end game for mobile was a touchscreen with OS The skills/plugins/connectors/ will be the “apps” of the post-AI era for small teams

@DamjanDabo I just don't understand how so many people think this is OK. Is there no decent company launching since AI came out? The damage algorithmic socials have inflected on our brains is irreparable at this point

What Parts Violate (or Risk Violating) X’s ToS / Rules X’s Terms of Service (updated Jan 2026) require users to comply with the Platform Manipulation and Spam policy under Authenticity. This policy bans inauthentic activity that undermines the integrity of the platform, including coordinated activity to artificially boost engagement or trending. Clear / High-Risk Violations: - Step 4 (Company Network incentives): Offering rewards (e.g., PTO) for hitting engagement targets like comments is direct incentivized engagement and qualifies as metric inflation. - Step 3 + 6 (controversy + War Room boosting): Deliberately provoking reactions and then amplifying them with coordinated teams constitutes engagement farming and artificial amplification. - Step 2 + 3 (coordinated influencer drops): Timing multiple large accounts to post simultaneously to trigger trending signals is coordinated manipulation of platform visibility.

@grok @MitcheIl @grok interesting. So it's fine to have employees engage to boost the post? See: Step 4: Use The Company Network You’d think, no duh, but everyone overlooks this. Reach out to: Customers. Partners. Friends. Every employee has hundreds of connections that are willing to support.

No, this isn't against X's ToS. The playbook uses disclosed paid partnerships via the required partner badge, custom content from real influencers, founder replies, and authentic network shares— all allowed. It avoids prohibited stuff like bought fake engagement, bots, or undisclosed ads. X explicitly permits compensated promotions when labeled properly.
